“Nice family hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

If martha steawart/laura ashley where to decide how it would look like in heaven, it would look like this!!!
There are flowers and decorations everywhere, and not in a bad way.
They try to create a very home like atmosphere but it is in my mind, a little bit to much...
Fun fact.
There is a price tag on most of the stuff so, it you like it , you can buy it.
Dont get me wrong, this is a very good hotel with a very helpful staff.

This is a lovely inn with great prices and good-sized rooms. The pool and other amenities make it a great place for families. They also have family suites, which is a plus. The restaurant is fantastic and a wide variety of dishes. Not your typical roadside inn at all!

Very kind front desk staff pour you a complimentary glass of red or white wine upon check in. You are also given freshly baked cookies when being handed your room keys.
Once you enter your charming and spacious room you will notice that there is a guest book to sign as well as a complimentary souvenir to take home as a momento of your stay. We were given a decorative apple, which was perfect.
We were also greeted with a basket containing two Martellini's sparkling apple juices and a handful of Hershey's kisses (which our kids were thrilled with)
The room was extremely comfortable as was the bed. One of the best night's sleep I had in a long time. The kids slept on the pull out sofa which sat in front of the gas fireplace. It was really cozy & they loved it.
The on-site restaurant offers farm to table entrees which are very tasty. We enjoyed dinner as well as breakfast there. The inn also has a very large gift shop with an abundance of items. In addition there is an ice cream parlor which serves hand made ice cream as well as a bakery.
This "inn" is more of a resort in my opinion. In addition to the restaurant, gift shop & ice cream parlor, there is also a pool, jacuzzi & a massage therapist whom gives chair massages in the garden.
We will most definitely stay here again.

It's difficult to write this review, but I was somewhat disappointed with the Apple Farm on my most recent visit. I've stayed here multiple times in the past and know that the Trellis Court is not as nice as the regular hotel. It's definitely in the "motel" category. However, I was a bit put off by the slight lack of cleanliness in the room. The bed linens were tired and there were insects in the room. The air conditioner was a wall unit that was blocked by the writing desk and never fully cooled the room.

What was good: private hot tub, impeccable service, beautiful grounds and environment. This isn't an indictment of the Apple Farm overall, just a bit disappointed in the Trellis Court. If you're not that picky, it's probably worth the savings. Otherwise, just spring for one of the regular rooms.

Thank you for your review of your recent stay in our Trellis Court. We sincerely apologize that this visit was not up to par with your previous stays. This is not up to our standards of cleanliness and we will be addressing this with our housekeeping department right away. We are currently in the process of renovating our Trellis Court rooms and we are very excited about the new product. Please feel free to email me at christeng@applefarm.com for your next stay so that I can pick out the perfect room for you. We certainly hope to have another opportunity to welcome you soon!

Staying at the Apple Farm was a special treat for a mother/daughter getaway. Our room was perfect and very clean. The staff was always helpful and friendly. My only complaints are that I think they changed the menu from that last time I ate at the restaurant about 20 years ago. I liked the old menu of homestyle cooking compared to the dinner menu today. The breakfasts were still fine, though. Also, there are many extra fees and taxes (city and facility), which added about $30 extra per night. I also missed the old mill being in operation and I hope they remodel that and bring it back as it added to the experience when we visited 20 years ago. I would definitely stay again at the Apple Farm if my budget would allow.

Room Tip: We chose to stay in the main inn rather than the cottages and I am glad we did.

We appreciate your feedback on your recent mother daughter stay with us. We love to hear comments from all of our guests and especially from longtime guests like yourself. We have made some changes to our dinner menu to make it more healthy, but we have kept some of our homestyle favorites like pot roast and meatloaf. We will be sure to pass your comments on to our chef for review. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you for another stay soon.

We reserved at the Apple Farm sight unseen and were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable (if a little smaller than we'd expected) and we used the private hot tub every night. You're about a mile from downtown so if you don't mind walking it's a nice stroll down to bookstores and restaurants. The one thing we didn't like was that our room was right next to the parking lot so that we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. We would definitely stay here again.

This quaint inn is the setting for a novel and the setting for true rest and relaxation! The country inn is upscale in every way from the ceramic apple you are gifted with in your room to the wine reception on the patio to the five star breakfast (you get a coupon for $5 off). The rooms are richly appointed and large with comforting english country decor and ours had a huge jacuzzi tub with access to the pool and hot tub off the patio (private access after hours). The good news and bad news about our room (100) is that it has a king sized bed, huge bathtub and shower and private pool and hot tub access after 9:30. The bad news: it is directly under the lobby. While there aren't late night checkins that wake you up, there is a steady stream during the day if you stay in your room. Subscribe to the apple farm website to get notified of really great specials (we got 40% off our room for only $109, but it required a Sunday or Monday checkin). You can also subscribe to travelzoo.com and you'll receive notifications for when Apple Farm rooms go on sale. The wine tasting also had cheese pastries that are to die for and a variety of locally featured wines. I liked the Apple Farm Chardonnay. The restaurant is also worth trying.

Room Tip: Room 100 has large jacuzzi tub and allows private access to pool and hot tub after 9:30 PM.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. It's very nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us so much! We appreciate your feedback on our rooms and service. Room 100 is a fun place to stay with its private pool access 24 hours a day, but like you mentioned it can be a bit noisy due to its location. We look forward to welcoming you again soon!

Sincerely,
Christen Goldie
