This is a good alternative to the Hilton right at OAK. It's about 10 min. away by shuttle van...but they were prompt and picked me up right away from the airport as well as made special arrangement to return me to the airport at 5AM.
The restaurant serves a nice breakfast and room service dinners were well prepared and not overly priced. Just one note...the restaurant is not open for lunch...but there's an In-n-Out just across the street....so who needs it.
Friendly staff....nicely appointed rooms....clean and quite adequate for anything you might need. A typical Garden Inn....which are typically good. I will use them again.

The location of this hotel is great if you're doing business in the San Leandro area: it's right by the freeway, but (at least for me) was far enough away, or well enough insulated, for a quiet night's sleep.

The lobby is a combo of a dining room (on the left) and a seating area (on the right). There's even a bar near the end of the check in/out counter. Although the tables and sofas are reasonably spaced, traffic jams seem to be part of the bargain.

We had dinner at the hotel with family members who live nearby. The menu is minimal (pizza, hamburgers, possibly steak... nothing unique); the food not bad for what it is.

I was with my sister and we each opted to have our own rooms, which were situated side-by-side. The rooms are good sized with amenities geared toward business travelers (desk, wifi). Comfy bed, in-room coffee maker, neat and tidy. There were two problems, both involving the toilets: mine was clogged and my sister's "flush" ran every 30 seconds which kept her awake much of the night.

The hotel is minimally staffed, so if you need something, be prepared to wait a bit. I happened to get locked out of my room while still in my bathrobe. It took a full 10 minutes for one of the staff to bring me a new key (the original one had stopped working).

Was a great stay. Staff was gracious and helpful from the moment I walked in the door, including both front desk and maintenance. Room was clean and nice. Internet access, coffee and water were all provided. Snack pantry, restaurant and bar were all open and available (though I didn't use any of them). I can't think of a single negative.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to spend 2 more nights in the area for vacation and it was the only one we could find that would take our Hilton points. As other posters have stated the walls are paper thin and so are the floors. We could hear the people above us walking. The room was clean and comfortable. We wanted a bigger breakfast than what was offered for free. They do have a resturant there that serves a buffet breakfast, but it was overpriced. we went a mile or so down the road and found a buffet for half the price and an amazing selection. The rooms do have a microwave and fridge. Free self parking and bottles of water were offered at check-in. Friendly staff.
