“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

I was working in Sunnyvale and staying in San Francisco so my colleague took me to Mynt for a Friday night dinner. The food was quite good - we had the Manchurian cauliflower, Dal Makhani and Aloo Gobi. There was not as much spicing as I'm used to and it wasn't very hot, but it was delicious and I ate it all! We also had roti and naan, which were very good.

The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. If I was in the area again, I would happily eat here.

“Great for vegans too.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

My family visited Mynt last week and were very thrilled with the food and the service. There were 7 of us, 2 that are vegans. Mynt was very helpful in assisting all of us novices at Indian food selecting tasty and not too spicy selections. We ordered way too much food and took home enough for a couple of more meals. I can't remember all the names of the foods we had, but everything that came out was nice and hot, and served promptly. Nice wine list. The only down side was they actually were out of some of the beers they offer and we got the last 3 bottles of our second choice. It was a Friday night and you would think they would run to the Smart and Final across the street and restock for the weekend. Other that that it was a great time.

“EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Mynt has always been a mediocre restaurant in terms of food and service but yesterday it hit a new low. We were having lunch with a few friends and one of my friends bit on something hard and sharp while having Dal Fry. It turned out to be at least an inch long, sharp, hard piece of plastic! Had she ingested it, it would have certainly cut several portions of her food canal.

We showed it to the waiter, who did not think it was a big deal. So we asked to see the owner. The waiter said he was busy and we would have to wait. We sent three reminders in the next 15 minutes and still the owner, who was in the restaurant, did not show up. Finally, when I threatened to file a criminal complaint and lawsuit, the owner showed up and offered a fake, indifferent apology. When I requested him to discard the rest of the Dal Fry and potentially other food that may have been contaminated, he refused.

You get the idea of the quality of food and attitude of the management. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

“Good fusion Indian food, vegetarian options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

Good service & food. There is fusion Indian & typical Punjabi Indian food. We had the chat-pata bhindi which was good nicely done small pieces of bhindi without a lot of oil. The shimla mirch was not spicy but was nicely prepared - a unique dish with shredded paneer & potatoes - not heavy. The tomato mozzarella kofta was a kofta dish in a tomato based sauce, so a good change from the typical malai kofta. The pesot naan, & the rosemary & oilve oil naan were good.

“Good Indian food in bustling restaurant with attentive service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

The food at Mynt is certainly above the average buffet-style run-of-the-mill Indian cuisine. We enjoyed the lamb vindaloo, the fried okra, and the curried paneer with vegetables. The servce was quite good and very prompt. This is not an innovative restaurant, but it serves very nice food in ample portions, and the atmosphere is quite lively.
