“Nice accomodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

I stayed here alone to attend a basketball game at nearby Santa Clara University. There is some construction going on right now but it looks like it will be finished soon. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable.

Doesn't look like much from outside, but they have totally renovated the rooms and back entry way area. Rooms are very modern and comfortable and I didn't have any issues with noise aside from hearing people upstairs walking around a bit (would recommend trying to get the top floor if you can). It should be noted that while the hallways are enclosed, the stairway leading upstairs is totally open to the public and anyone off the street can walk into the building as the front desk is arranged in a way that staff cannot see everyone coming and going in and out. So for safety reasons, be aware of that. I didn't feel unsafe here, but visitors should be aware of this. Follow standard precautions as you would at any hotel/motel. Decent continental breakfast - nothing fancy but enough to start your day. Coffee was surprisingly very good! (I did not find a need to hit up a coffee chain after this). Liked that the room had a mini-fridge and microwave, which allowed me to order some Chinese food from nearby, save the leftovers and reheat the next evening -- a nice money saver! Free WiFi with good speed. Comfortable bed. Nice flat screen TV. Nice extra couch and area to stretch out and relax. No complaints really. The pool area was small and frankly not that enticing, but I never have time for that stuff anyway. The location is near Santa Clara University, and there's a pretty decent selection of restaurants and a Safeway just a few minutes drive. I normally stay at two other properties in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale when I come to the area for work, but they were both booked (last minute trip) and so after much research decided on this property -- glad I did. Would have no issue staying here again.

Stayed in this hotel the night before our departure back home after a week long trip in California. Our trip was based on our flights that were based out of San Jose. Found this Best Western over the internet. We used our reward points as a loyal customer to Best Western. So convenient and would suggest the program to anyone that is interested. This hotel is nicely situated by the airport, close enough to get to and from the hotel - 5 minute drive. We reserved a room facing the back parking lot. Very quiet as this hotel is situated on a busy main roadway. The room was very spacious, modern, clean, beds very comfortable and the pillows great! As we arrived before the time permitted, the young hotel clerk was more then accommodating and had a room for us, we may have waited 5 minutes for it. Was very much appreciated. A continental breakfast is offered; however, we weren't able to enjoy it as we left the hotel the next morning at 5:30 am. At this hour there was no one at the desk so we couldn't check out to go over the invoice. Unfortunately, there was a small charge (that never should have been) on our credit card. I had to clear this up once we arrived back in Canada, which just resulted in a phone call back to the hotel. The charge was removed and all was good. I would strongly recommend this hotel to travellers, especially if you're flying in/out from the San Jose airport or if you're visiting the area.

Room Tip: No elevators - stairs to the second floor were fine, not steep. Pick a room in the back if you want...

I had a very nice room. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is good, but nothing special. It seems recently renovated, and my room was attractive, neat, and clean. There is no fitness room on-site, but you get gym privileges at the YMCA that is 3 or 4 blocks away. One side faces a rather busy street, but I had a room on the back side and it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the the Internet service was good.

Room Tip: The rooms on the side away from the main street are quiet.

We arrived late to find our room waiting for us. My sister and I were taking our mother on an "all-girls" trip to fulfill some of her "bucket list" items and while staying at a Best Western was not one of them, this hotel gave us a good night's rest to start our trip in the morning. Quiet room, comfortable beds, great layout with enough electrical outlets to charge up all of the gadgets that we brought. Breakfast was the usual hard-boiled-eggs, toast, yogurt, coffee deal usually included in this type of layout, but there was plenty of it. Jasmin was cheerful and welcoming at check-in and Bianca checked us out quickly when we left.

I like Best Western. It's nice to know what to expect when you check in.

Great hotel and reasonable price. Room was small, but very clean and newly, nicely decorated. Customer service was excellent. Wish breakfast would start earlier, for those traveling at 6 am. Would suggest adding free shuttle.

This hotel was clean, well decorated, quiet, and appeared new . This is a great place to stay for a good price. And it includes breakfast. I will definitely stay here again. The location is easy to find, and close to restaurants if you have a car. The room had beautiful crown moulding and brand new furniture and bathroom fixtures.
