“Great location OK execution”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

For the middle of Santana Row it lives up to its surroundings. The prices do also. The seafood platter was adequate, the wine list was out of date, and the rest of the meal pleasant enough but not more than that. Even so, a nice evening in good surroundings

“Not their best night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Last time we dined here it was very good.We had reservations and was seated quickly. This night we got a waitress who could care less about waiting on us.We started with wine and oysters.Didn!t like that they set them high up on a metal stand. We took them off of it We both had the clam chowder because they were out of lobster bisque. The clam chowder was really good.We ordered the Lobster Pasta and the Crab Louie. They had changed both dishes to a version we didn't,care for as much.I ran out of water and it took a while to get someone's attention to have it filled. We had dessert. The lemon meringue was very good. The butterscotch pudding was ok. They have great coffee here. We had booked a party of 6 here for future guests coming from out of town but canceled it after this experience and booked at another place. It just needs a few tweaks and it would be great again.

“Great Food Again - A turnaround story”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

My wife and I have been dining at this Lark Creek owned restaurant in Santana Row for years both under its previous name of Yankee Pier and its new title of Lark Creek Blue. The restaurant changed its branding and theme last summer (2012) and also changed their chef which, unfortunately, resulted in a decline in the quality of the food. To their credit, Lark Creek recognized the problem and replaced the chef with chef Chad Greer and what a difference he's made since his arrival in March (2013).

Lark Creek has a focus on fresh and sustainable seafood and it takes a skilled hand to do this right and well night after night. After their rebranding my wife and I drfited away from Blue but, (sorry...) on a lark, we gave them another try two weeks ago and have been back seven times since then.

My favorites are the French greens salad and their blackened fish tacos (lunch and happy hour menu only) while my wife focused on the simply grilled seafood option. You should also try their seafood sliders if you're there during happy hour. We're also happy to see that their wine storage has drastically improved so now you can get a properly "chilled" bottle of wine - red or white.

We're newly in love (again) with Lark Creek Blue.

“Excellent atmosphere, great food, slow service - sit back and enjoy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Gorgeous outdoor seating on Santana Row with a divine menu.
Fresh greens and salad were picturesque from a garden and unquestionably fresh. The braised lamb and homemade papardelle was abosolutely heavenly while the lobster was fresh and the steak cooked exactly as ordered. Coffee is served via individual french press - a personal favorite allowing you to choose your strength.
Go for the food and the atmosphere of this great dining and shopping district and plan to spend some time. The service was very pleasant but slow.

“February Crab Fest is a must!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this delightful restaurant at Santana Row in San Jose. The crab cakes were amongst the best we've ever had and the sole was cooked perfectly. All the fixings were equally good. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We will go back again for lunch.
