“I wish we had this in LA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

I loved Santana Row, and didn't get nearly enough time there. I guess the shopping is "HIgh End" but coming from Los Angeles, and knowing places Like Rodeo Dr and Santa Monica Promenade, this sits somewhere in the middle. This place is a little piece of Europe, and I LOVED it!! The shopping is great, the ambiance is clean and nice. Rich feeling I guess, but I wouldn't think its overboard, like some people are claiming. I want to go back to Santa Clara just to window shop, and eat lunch there, on a weekly basis, But I can't :-(

“Jeckle and Hide place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

This is a strange place to review. It can and does have two sides to it, one good and one not so good.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was a zoo of a place! Thousands of people crammed into a small street, music blaring on every corner and different music at that. Hot, noisy, rude people on the street, many intoxicated and out for a wild night. In this guise we elected to stay away from the street and retired to our hotel for a more quite ambience, cocktails, and A/C.

Then on Monday daytime it was like a quiet sophisticated boulevard in Paris, with high end patisseries, cafe's and high end boutique shops (Gucci, Tesla motors, Loft etc.) selling everything you can imagine to spend your money on. Sat on the side walk and enjoyed coffee and pain au raisin and watched the girls promenading down the Rue. Very enjoyable and an oasis of a place. In terms of eating and drinking establishments its a case of never mind the quality feel the width. Masses to choose from but only a few worth the effort.

So pick your time well, and it will offer what you are looking for, get it wrong and you'll never go back.

By night this is a 1 star review, by day it is a 5 star review...hence my 3 star average...enjoy!!!

“Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

This place has amazing restaurants and shops and is where the rich play. It was great getting dressed up and walking around and seeing all the expensive cars and clearly wealthy people hanging around.

“Nothing to write home about”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2014

A few nice shops. Lots of restaurants selling overpriced mediocre food. I am from the Midwest and having an area like this dog friendly is disgusting. Dogs fighting. Having to lookout for dog filth that scummy owners won't clean up. Watching dogs peeing on the drinking fountain is quite nice too. The stains and the smell are bad.

“Nice Date Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

At night this outdoor mall area was very romantic. We walked through the shops and all the restaurants had nice outdoor areas to have a drink and just relax. Many of the restaurants have happy hour with drink/appetizer specials. Very nice landscaping and lighting. Also parking was free.
