Our destination was legoland and the San Diego zoo,and we happened upon the Casa Blanca. The price of the room for a three night stay checking in on a Saturday night at the end of August was very reasonable(avg.@ $119.00).The rooms were clean and comfortable had the appliances a family of our size needed the fridge, microwave. The beds and linens were very comfortable.plenty of channels for nighttime t.v. watching the free wi fi was a little spotty. The pool/jacuzzi was a hit for myself and the kids.I hit the workout room once and it was little cosy but had all the exercise equipment and weights one could ask for.But the service was the biggest selling point, being in the hospitality business the young lady who checked us in was very kind and friendly and answered all our questions.I would definitely return and recommend this property.

Nicest hotel we stayed in on our trip. A pleasant surprise. After the disappointment of our hotel in Ridgecrest I called the Best Western reservations and reserved this hotel. It is older but has a very nice court yard and is very well maintained. Nice beds and a good breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

WARNING: I called the phone number that hotwire posts by the hotel trying to get the phone number for the hotel. The operator claimed to be central reservations for Best Western. I asked her 3 times if it was Best Western and she claimed it was but it really wasn't. I beat their best price for this hotel by $30.

Room Tip: Book with the hotel and you will often save money over online booking.

This is a great little hotel, great value. The one area that needs reworking is the breakfast. The food is doled out like prescription medication by two staff who even put the bread in the toaster for you. Problem is, the food is high glycemic carbs, no whole grains, no protein. Found out from another guest that boiled eggs and yogurt are available if you ask, but not displayed. This set-up is unlike any breakfast I've ever encountered at a Best Western. Suggestions: Improve the food, have guests serve themselves,

Room Tip: Ask for a room that backs onto th north parking lot.

Just returned from 2 weeks in California/Nevada of which 5 nights were spent at the Casablanca. Haven't a single negative comment to leave. Check in was quick and friendly, room was large and very comfortable, breakfast was good, plenty of free parking and the pool area was great. The location is perfect, right on the Pacific Coast Highway just a short walk from the beach and within easy driving distance of some of the best beaches in the world - Laguna Beach, Newport, Huntington etc. Some really nice restaurants in San Clemente. Just under an hour gets you to San Diego.

Room Tip: Pay afew dollars more and go for the spa option, its only a bubbly bath but gets you a better room.

We chose this hotel because it is close to the beach (2 blocks) and not far from local restaurants and the city centre. We stayed two nights.

It was clean and comfortable, with pleasant service at reception. The pool area is large and was particularly appreciated by our 10 year old twin daughters.

Breakfast was included and though simple was just about OK.

Overall, good value.

Staff was nice, it's close to the beach and room was clean. Probably when it opened many yares ago, it was meant as a sort of motor-inn and was very modern in those days. AC is old style and noisy, rooms hace pretty thin walls (....). OK to spend a night a leave again.
