“Nicer than expected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

The room was freshly renovated and everything felt updated and new. Huge 42" HDTV with the most channels I have ever had in a hotel...sadly, no HBO. Access and parking were easy and convenient. I didn't have the complimentary breakfast, but it looked good and standard from what I saw. Free (unlimited??!!) chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon were great. The free wifi was some of the fastest I have experienced...I was able to screen-share and VOIP with no hiccups. Train tracks are *right-there* but I only noticed it when I was outside. Finally, an In n Out burger is only about a mile away...snag a double-double, fries, and then a beer from the convenience store to dine Fat American style in your room.

This is my second stay at Country Inn/suites San Carlos. Very comfortable beds, and "roomy room". The staff attention is superior front desk to houskeeping. The breakfast was VERY good with choice of eggs, potatoes, suasage/bacon, french toast and cereals. Good start to the day. My room faced the train tracks BUT did NOT notice any noise. I highly recommend this hotel and will return. Also, just few blocks from hotel, convienent restaurants and lovely San Carlos.

This is a nice hotel. We had a large, attractive, comfortable room with new furnishings including a big flat screen TV. A room not quite as large as you might find in some of the newest hotels but very nice. The wifi in our room was a bit flaky but nothing to complain about and there were areas in the hotel that could use new carpet.

These minor things were more than made up for by a fantastic breakfast. All the usual stuff including waffles, plus scrambled eggs, bacon, and herbed, lightly fried potatoes; all delicious and cooked to perfection. A hotel breakfast this good almost never happens. I look forward to staying here again.

I stayed at this particular Country Inn & Suites for three nights on business. The room was comfortable and clean, and the although the property is very near the 'Cal-Train' tracks, noise is not a problem. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast was great with a wide selection of hot, cold, and pastry options.

We stayed here 4 nights (I only stayed 3 because I was in the hospital 1 night). We asked for a quiet room not near the train or right on the road and were accommodated. The rates for Sequoia Hospital were very reasonable. Room was standard but very clean, not too small (2 queen beds), and beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful and nice. Will probably stay here again when I come down for checkups.

The location was excellent, but what impressed me the most was the condition of the room. It did not feel like I'd overpaid, which is always a lovely first impression :) The rooms are a little smaller than I'm used to, but it did not lack in comfort because of this. The selections made during recent renovations and upgrades to the room supplies were superb, giving the room a modern yet cozy feel. The breakfast selection also impressed the next morning, with a good selection to get started for the day. I would definitely stay here again. It provides a great service for a reasonable price for the area.

Rooms look recently renovated and well appointed for the standard of hotel but there are a few little things with the fundamental building structure that push the grade down a little such as the sound insulation between rooms, even after a long flight i was woken in the night and ended up spending the early hours listening to the neighbours TV and later on snoring.

Yeah the neighbourhood doesn't look the best, but it seemed quiet, clean and safe. No problems walking across the street to the golden arches. Tacos are also available next door.
