“Soft fluffy donuts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

The best donuts ever. Soft fresh fluffy. Grab a box. You can mix and match. The chocolate glaze is the best. Service is dry. But who cares. Just ask for a dozen. Point to what you want and enjoy. Coffee available too. It's busy in the early hours but open 24/7. Enjoy. Has its own parking.

“Oooh that delicious goody sweetness taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Looking for a place to fullfill your sweet cravings! Rolling pin is where it's at! I've been a customer here almost all my life! And Hands down, Infinity x's better than any other donut shop you've tried best believe. There are so many different donuts to chose from. My favorites are the blueberry holes, and chocolate crossiants. And of corse the everso popular glazed donuts, if your lucky, when its warm fresh baked out the oven, its like an orgasm in your mouth! TRY IT! You'll leave this place with your satisfaction guaranteed and rolling back for more!!! :-)

“Open 24 Hours!! Cash Only! Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

I sent my husband for a late night donut run (11pm) and this place was fantastic! The donut holes were perfect! So many flavors to choose from! And you don't get that nasty greasy feeling after eating them! Not sure what recipe they use, but don't pass this place up! Also, this place is historical...the same location since 1958! They must be doing something right ;-)

“California's doughnut and maple bar heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

Always hungry for vanilla custard-filled maple and chocolate bars or heavenly French crullers that melt in your mouth, I've been stopping by the Rolling Pin for 30 years, every time I am on the San Francisco Peninsula or near the SFO airport. I live 400 miles away and I still make the "pilgrimage" about twice a year! Its very unpretentious yet conveniently located between the 101 and 280 freeways in an older section of historic San Bruno.

The adjacent parking lot off Easton Ave is bustling and you will probably have to wait in line for a while to place your order. The busy staff quickly fills your little white paper sack or pink doughnut box and pours your beverage. There are a few tables or counters to sit at, but about 90% of the trade is take out. Considering the business they do, the shop is very clean.

The Rolling Pin is famed throughout the Bay Area for the crullers, maple bars and other fine products. You will want to purchase enough for kinfolk, friends and office colleagues. Nearly all productive activity stops when Rolling Pin doughnuts appear at work. Their flavor invites conversation but discussion about "calories" is frowned upon.

Bottom line: Give it a try and you will be hooked. But get there early. Some Saturdays they run out of the prime stuff by 9am. Also, don't over-buy the creme products because unless refrigerated, they don't keep all that well. Most of all, please don't wolf them down in the parking lot. Take your time and savor every bite, even... later in the day.
