“Wonderful and we will be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

We stayed during the Laguna Seca MotoGp races in 2011. The service was fantastic and the BB was beautiful! This was our first BB and they really made us feel like family. Linda and Samuel run a first class operation!! Many thanks to them and their wonderful staff for a memorable experience. See you next year!! Dustin&Tina.

Chateau Coralini is a lavishly and lovingly remodelled farmhouse set between the rolling hills and the fields of the Salinas Valley, just outside the city of Salinas, in a quiet and new residential neighborhood. This spacious B&B is clearly a passion project for the couple who own and run it, as it took them years to wade though the local permitting process. The penthouse suite has a private elevator, and is vast, with a king bed, large living room, dining table, desk and soaking tub for two (with a TV mounted overhead!). We were greeted with a fruit and cheese plate on arrival (a meal in itself), and breakfast in the ornate dining room was sumptuous stuffed french toast. We hiked in nearby Toro Park and saw a gorgeous display of wildflowers as well as a great horned owl! My wife had a 90-minute massage at the spa, and we were both thoroughly mellowed out.

Room Tip: The penthouse suite is enormous and quiet.

My family had a 90th Birthday party at the Chateau Coralini. Thirty-six people were treated royally with the greatest courtesy by Linda Persall (owner) and her staff. Scheduling this party with Linda was a breeze as she handled all the details. The food was outstanding, the service gracious, and the Chateau beautifully decorated for Christmas. Everyone had a great time and couldn't believe how gorgeous this place was. We were even treated to tours of this Victorian Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were fit for royalty. If you're in the Salinas/Monterey area, this is the place for you.

We stayed here for the US Open because we couldn't get any closer to the site. It was the best Plan"B" we ever had. This home is beautifully redone. I own a home that was built in 1820 so I have a little experience with this. They did it right. It is gorgous. But the most important thing is the people who run it. They make your time with them feel like a true pampering experience...right down to the home baked cookies they offer when you come in at night. They have also built a spa attached to the property where you can be pampered until your heart's delight. You are in Monterey County Wine Country. They mapped out a day for us and gave us names to ask for at each winery. We spent the entire day at the first one and shipped a dozen bottles back home. You are only 20 minutes from all the things around the Monterey Bay ( Cannery Row, the Wharf and Carmel). I would love to go back there again. The service and the Chateau Coralini were exceptional by anyone's standards. Reward yourself. Find your opportunity and go.

Gigantic well-appointed rooms and bathroom, wonderful beds & furnishings would be enough to be worth the rate, but the the reason we will be coming back are the amazing, kind, and spare-no-effort-to-help proprietors, the Persalls. We arrived at 1 AM in the morning to a friendly welcome and MUCH appreciated plate of cheese and crackers, fruit, cookies, etc. We were up there for a hectic but fun family event and retreating to the comfortable room and grounds was great, We wound up checking out impossibly late, and leaving my cell phone in the driveway, which Linda then graciously sprang to return. And, in spite of unintentionally becoming the guests from you-know-where, we continuously felt attentively welcomed. That's a true gift. Service and room comfort was WAY above expectations. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning there ourselves.

I have never been pampered to such personal detail as in our overnight stay in the beautiful penthouse suite at the Chateau Coralini. The Persall's dedication to every aspect of your stay from the beauty of the rooms to the turn down service with warm cookies and milk is the ultimate experience! The same attention to detail extends to the day spa. My husband and I have attended several additional events such as wine pairing dinners and the New Years Eve dinner and dance last year and had a blast. Excellant!

We just spent two nights at the Chateau Coralini in Salinas, California. Just so happens I live only 5 miles from this luscious B&B and never knew it! Linda and Samuel Persall have the gift given to few; they are gracious and host their guests with ease. By the time we left, we felt as though we had made new friends. The room was exquisite; the bedding luxurious; the bath amenities first-class and the dining experience was beyond what we had encountered anywhere else in our travels. Linda is a gifted cook; everything she prepares pops with flavor. We enjoyed the gazebo in the evening - complete with comfy chairs and blankies. The on-site spa is lovely and the massage service was outstanding. Being so close, I will return again for their other spa services. The Persall's are well-versed in the history of the historic site and we enjoyed learning of the families who had previously occupied the home. Do yourself a favor and stay an evening or two with the Persall's at the Chateau Coralini. You won't be disappointed!
