“Perfect Wedding Weekend”

Meadowood Napa Valley

My husband and I just got married at Meadowood over memorial Day weekend, and stayed three nights as well. The whole experience was nothing short of spectacular from start to finish. We stayed in one of the Croquet rooms so we could watch the set up on the Croquet lawns on the Big Day. The room was spotless and decked out with all the luxuries we love... an incredibly comfortable bed, fireplace, HUGE tub, and more. Room service was prompt and guest services were very helpful, and best of all, Lori with the wedding dept. went above and beyond to make our wedding day the best even with the possibility of rain at the last minute.

“Great country club resort”

Meadowood Napa Valley

May 18, 2008

I would recommend Meadowood to anyone who is staying for a few days in Napa Valley and enjoys comfort, luxury and great service.
The service at this hotel was outstanding, I had quite a complicated trip to organise with my elderly parents and the guest services staff went out of their way before we arrived and during our stay to ensure that everything was organised.
We hired a driver through the hotel who was excellent and very knowledgable about the wineries and the valley area. The hotel set up some winery appointments and the driver took us to some additional places, all of which were fantastic.
The resort itself is huge but feels peaceful and quiet whilst having a wide range of facilities available.
The rooms were lovely, comfortable and luxurious with a log fire set up each day just ready to light.
We didn't have dinner at the hotel but if breakfast is anything to go by then I'm sure it would be delicious.
My only complaint would be that I had an expensive spa treatment that was poor.
Would highly recommend Meadowood and will certainly return

“We had a great time and highly recommend Meadowood”

My husband and I spent Saturday and Sunday at Meadowood and would highly recommend it to others. We had a junior suite which had a nice sitting area, a good size bedroom and a large bathroom. The room was beautiful and I found the beds to be very comfortable (and I am pretty picky these days with beds).

We used the gym which had lots of equipment although my husband did have to wait a bit for a treadmill. We also spend the afternoon at the adult pool. It was lovely. I was surprised that most people there seemed to be locals - seems like a social gathering spot.

We had breakfast at the casual restaurant and it was very good. The first day it was a bit slow getting coffee but other than that no complaints. It was fun to see the morning golfers tee off while having breakfast.

We ended up having dinner in our room night after discovering Dean and de Luca's. We were able to get great wine there and we were able to pick up some fantastic cheeses, breads and pates.

The other night we ate at the casual restaurant and had another fine meal.

The woodsy feel of the place was great. We were in room 51 and there were quite a set of stairs to climb so just be aware of that if you have any knee problems or trouble walking.

I found the whole experience to be great. We have stayed at Relais and Chateaux hotels before and this did not disappoint.

“More shabby, than chic”

Nothing special considering the outrageous prices.
The rooms are a big mishmash - we had a treetop suite.
Bathroom purely utilitarian. Staff is uninspired and not particularly helpful. This hotel needs a kick in the behind with some serious competition.

“Beautiful Hotel Property”

The grounds of this hotel are wonderful...hilly and lush. Our Treetop room was large, had vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. The bath had a separate tub and shower. I thought our unit looked a little worn but maybe it was because I expected so much after all I had heard about the resort. The bed was a little soft but had nice linens. We had room service which was excellent and on time. I became ill so we had to leave early and the front desk was very accomodating. I would probably stay here again, especially as I think they are redecorating the rooms. I loved the woodsy feel combined with great service.
