“Favorite Local Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

My family has lived in St. Helena for several years, and this is one of our favorite spots. The food is always delicious and the servers could not be more friendly. Everything is fairly inexpensive, especially for the valley. Among the highlights on the menu are the veggie momos, the tandoori salmon, and the chana masala, although just about everything is hearty and tasty. I would highly recommend for all tourists who are passing through the valley and want something different from the usual wine country food.

“Great Alternative to Typical Wine Country Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

If you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary (at least in the Napa Valley) you have found the right restaurant! Tucked into a string of other downtown establishments on Rt. 29, this St Helena gem is well worth seeking out. The Napali/Indian food is infused with fragrant spices of the region and served by a delightful waitstaff. Beginning with our appetizers of delicate dumplings, fresh green salads and naan, to the entrees of lamb & chicken curry (served to your specified degree of heat),and chicken tandoori, the food was truly delicious!

When the server realized that one of our entrees was taking a bit longer to prepare, she apologized and brought us a special dessert to complete our meal. Though this was not necessary, it certainly was appreciated, and capped an already very satisfying dining experience.
Great value here especially when the corkage is waived!! We will certainly return!!

“Great Food Indeed ..... But Service Lacking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

The food here is truly excellent. I don't think there is one bad plate on the menu.

However, service was slow and rather than try doing something about it, the waiter spent most his time apologizing about the fact it was slow.

Another UNFORGIVABLE mislapse was with the wine - and I find that inexcusable due to the fact that St. Helena is in the heart of wine country - our waiter simply opened the bottle, didn't offer anyone in the table to try it and then did the best he could to empty it out in our four glasses in one go. He even apologized that he didn't manage to serve it all.

Oh, and he also ran off with the cork....

....that's a no no......

“A total winner”

My husband and I were thrilled with our experience here. The person who waited on us was so friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable.
