The Residence Inn Sacramento Airport Natomas hotel was just a weekend getaway for us, but as a long-time business traveler, I could see the value of this property for others as well.

First, the location. The property is nicely situated in Sacramento; centered as much as Sacramento offers a center to most of the business and tourist attractions of the area. It offers airport shuttle service, and is close to both the I-5 and I-80 freeways for easy access. In spite of the placement, the hotel seems especially well insulated from traffic noise.

Amenities include the traditional Residence Inn long-term stay extras such as free daily breakfast buffet (the eggs are of the reconstituted variety, but the fresh fruit and variety of breads are nice), evening receptions (mon-thu) with complimentary beer and wine, and large guest rooms with full kitchens. Fireplaces (compressed log-burning) are also a pleasant option available upon request.

The property also sports some well-maintained common areas in addition to the standard "guesthouse" lobby/dining facility: a pool, barbecue patio and a tennis court; although the latter seemed too wedged in to allow for any serious gaming.

The staff was functional and friendly enough without being overly impressive.

Finally, the hotel is situated on the backside of a mini-mall with easy access to a number of fast-food options such as Carl's Jr., Starbucks, Jamba Juice, etc. There are extensive shopping/dining/entertainment opportunities nearby Natomas Marketplace.

We spent one night here before leave sacramento airport. Close to downtown. Has been recently renovated and is beautiful. It was Tuesday night and we went to the managers reception with soup (3 different ones) and salad. Was all we needed for dinner!

My wife and I stayed recently at the hotel, where we have also stayed during previous visits, when we attended my mother’s memorial service. The hotel is a very good value (about $110 per night for a studio), especially compared to what it offers. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location was convenient to the airport and the downtown location (just off Interstate 5) where the service was held. Like other Residence Inns, the hotel offered a substantial breakfast with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausages. Breakfast also included yoghurt, fruit salad, boiled eggs, and other fare usually included for breakfast. The housekeeper who cleaned up my sister’s room was quite friendly and courteous, and did not mind that we hung around while she straightened our room. The hotel also let us check out an hour later than the usual noon check-out time on our last day. On the down side, however, one telephone’s speaker evidently did not work, so people did not hear us when we called. My sister also tried calling the room and was not able to be put through. In addition, on one day, we put out the “do not disturb” sign while we were at breakfast, and then were very disappointed when housecleaning did not work on our room that day, because the sign had been out earlier in the day. Nonetheless, we would probably stay at the hotel if we return to Sacramento.

We recently stayed here and my friend loved the room. I've stayed here before on business and have always found the staff warm and very friendly. Ask for "Fabian"... he's the Best! The rooms have always been clean and comfortable and with the new Make-Overs they are Clean, Comfortable and Classy. Would have given it 5 Stars but the new lobby was still being refurbished so I look forward to seeing it at my next stay. It's located just 2-3 miles from the Downtown area so you can be there, or in Old Town, in 5 minutes and parking is Free... not $15-25 a-day like the Downtown hotels. Great place to stay for business or pleasure.
