This is an excellent motel! We arrived at about 10 AM (check-in isn't until 3), but were promptly given a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the pool. There were even cookies at the front desk, which were great after a long drive. The rooms are clean, tastefully appointed in a green leafy decor. Our room had 2 double beds, a small coffee table, 2 chairs, and a sink separate from the bathroom which is fantastic for spreading out toiletries. (The only weird thing about the room was that one of the lamps did not have an on/off switch-- it needed to be unplugged to be turned off.) The pool and jacuzzi are excellent, and my brother and I had the place all to ourselves! Breakfast was good, with make your own waffles, cinnamon buns, boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, and fruit (no meat). The location is superb! Just a 1 min. walk through the parking structure by the freeway, and you're in Old Sacramento! Also, very close to the Westfield Downtown Plaza for shopping or a quick bite to eat. Free parking, free internet access, free computer use in the lobby-- for the price, this place is PERFECT!! Highly recommended!

We we're traveling with children and chose this hotel because of the good reviews on trip advisor. We we're very pleased!! It was clean and tastefully decorated. The pool was nice and the continental breadfast was excellent. It's located right downtown but was quiet in the rooms. It's very convenient to Old Town Sacramento. Parking is free and the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Surprising Good!
We visited the Travelodge as part of our child's 8th grade trip to Sacramento. The motel was very clean and the service was good. Breakfast was excellent (waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, bagels, cereal, toast, fresh fruit). The rooms are averaged sized. The location was great, we walked to old town and the next day to the capitol. The pool is nice and the mall across the street is a great diversion!

This is the second time we stayed at this location, we should have learned our lesson the first time. The hotel must offer discounted rates to patrons of the night club around the corner. Loud drunken club patrons stroll back and forth through the hotel walkways and parking areas all night long. Once the club closes, it gets worse with people staggering back to their rooms at 2, 3 & 4 in the morning. I shouldn't forget to mention that there's a Dennys right next door, so you get more of the same drunken loudness as the club patrons stumble up to their rooms on a full stomach at 6 and 7am. This is not blown out of proportion, this happened during two different stays. We just passed the first night off as a fluke. The hotel seems to be aware of the issue but does nothing to stop it. They also don't patrol the parking and while you have a parking permit to stay at the hotel, you may not be able to park there. I will say, the location is great if you're visiting Old Sacramento, but it's horrid if you like to actually sleep in your hotel room.
