I stayed at this hotel in July. We had a large suite and the room itself was beautiful. I also enjoyed the time I spent in the pool as it was a hot summer day. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the advice I was given by a front desk person. The hotel has a shuttle which runs to the mall every hour on the hour. I wanted to go to the mall so I met the driver at the appointed time and was off to the mall. On the way there he gave me a card and said to call when I wanted to come back. I did just that but when I called I was told the shuttle had already left the mall and only ran on the hour and I would have to wait (it was 15 minutes past the hour and I did not want to wait another 45 minutes as the hotel is a 5 minute drive from tha mall) I told the girl this and she said sorry, you've missed it. I asked her about calling a cab as I wanted to return to the hotel now. She told me I should just walk as it was not that far. This is the bad advice.....not being familiar with the area I took her advice and started to walk....between the hotel and the mall you have to cross 2 freeway entrances with no special accomodations for pedestrians as well as walk under an overpass where there are no sidewalks and cars whizzing by. I truly felt unsafe but by the time I got there I was halfway to the hotel so I didn't want to turn back. My lst obstacle was on the road into the hotle where there were once again no sidewalks and sprinklers spouting water on the grass I would optherwise have walked on. I was furious when I got to the hotel and asked for the person who gave me this advice. When I told her she should not be telling people to walk because it was unsafe she just shrugged her shoulders and said poeple do it all the time. That's fine if you want to take the risk and know what you're walking into but I think she's leaving the hotel open to a lot of liability if someone gets hurt walking based on their advice. She didn't seem to get it when I told her that. So my advice is don't walk to the mall and expect the shuttle to only run on the hour inspite of what the driver tells you.

Stayed here for one night on our way to a wedding. The hotel is clean and the room we stayed in was nice and roomy. There's really nothing spectacular about it that makes it stand out compared to other places I have stayed at.
If you need a place to stay for the night that's clean and well maintained, I would pick this. Although I'm not a fan of the higher end hotels since they don't come with perks such as free breakfast, free wifi, etc.
The pool area and jacuzzi were nice and well maintained. It was clean and everything was working. The pool is in a courtyard surrounded by some chairs and tables...again nothing really stood out.

This is the first time I stayed at a Hilton Hotel.
I have stayed at the Garden Inns and was very impressed by them so at $90 for 1 night the price was right.
The room is very nice I requested 10th floor and that’s what I was given.
Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The problem was when we got of the elevator to go to our room we smelled ciggerette smoke this is a non smoking hotel.
Our room was in the middle of the hallway and the smell was very strong.
We went down to the lobby and complained about it the girl said she would take care of it.
She also said that they are awear of people smoking in the stairways and they leave the door open because they think it would lock .
I didn’t find that explation very helpful the hotel is non-smoking.
We left to go out to dinner when we arrived back at our room the smell was faint but better.
After a few hours the smell started coming into our room it was like someone smoking right outside our door. This went on part of the night we again complained when we checked out again we where told they know people do this which is an unacceptable explation to me.
They comped us with a free breakfast when we went to eat we where told it would be a couple of dollors for the hot meal we paid that.
When we where leaving we noticed a side door near the elevators and right outside the door was a guard smoking and of course the smell was going inside the hotel.
They also charge for internet service .

In this economy, is it bad to expect more for your dollar? Hilton doesn't seem to be making too many concessions yet. I paid $149 per night for a Fri-Sat night stay on the concierge floor. The furnishings were modern and nice (slightly > Marriott level), and the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom counter was roomy, but there was no closeup mirror.

The concierge room provided bottled water (altho they had price tags on them, the front desk said they were no charge on my floor), 2 bathrobes and 4 bath towels. There was a large LCD TV, but it had no HD channels and the screen was in stretched out mode, so it was too annoying to watch. Internet access was wireless and $11 per PC.

Since it was a weekend, continental breakfast was downstairs in the restaurant breakfast buffet, which was a great meal and worth the extra cost. It included oatmeal and all the cold items: cold cuts, pastries, hard boiled eggs, and plenty of fruit, as well as juice and very good coffee. The restaurant service was very attentive.

The fitness center room was well-equipped with a lot of ellipticals but only one bike (recumbent). There is an outdoor pool. There is no good view from the high floors of the hotel (hey, it's Sacramento near the Expo Center and oerlooking the freeway).

I wrote this room may be overpriced, because for a concierge floor, I expect more amenities: at least some soda or a pillow chocolate at night, or a larger room. If the breakfast hadn't been so good for the two of us, I would have downgraded this stay by 25%.

I booked a room on the 12th floor (the concierge floor with alleged extra amenities). They began by checking us into a room already occupied by others. Luckily, those guests were not in the room when we opened the door. We were given another room, which had a constantly running toilet, and jacuzzi jets full of black slime. We also had to contend with an all night party with about a dozen college students next door. The coffee maker was a joke, and only had decaf packets.

The continental breakfast featured a bowl of fruit, bagels and bread to toast, cold cereal, and cold cuts!!! Cotto salami is not my idea of a breakfast food. That was the first morning. On the second, the continental buffet line was closed. We were told to order from the regular menu. The food was abysmal: my over easy eggs were actually raw, with clear egg white running onto the plate. The toast was cold, and so old that it was curled up. The hash browns were not cooked. The waiter sent in another order, and the second plate looked exactly like the first!

There's more, but I don't want to be accused of piling it on! Okay, I will: there were dirty dishes and cocktail glasses on the floor near the elevators on the 12th floor when we checked in, and they were still there three days later!

After three days of suffering, we checked into a Holiday Inn Express. Better beds, better tv (big flat screen with deluxe cable), coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave oven, and all sorts of stuff like an oversupply of towels and every possible personal grooming aid (combs, cotton swabs, soaps and shampoos, etc). The breakfast buffet included omelettes, biscuits, hot cinnamon rolls, bacon, fruit, hot and cold cereals, things to toast, three varieties of fruit juice (apple, orange, and papaya/mango), etc. The next morning it was scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, and all the bells and whistles described above. And for less money per night!!!

  • Liked — it is a very beautiful hotel
  • Disliked — the apparent lack of attention to maintenance details, including jacuzzi jets that spewed black slime
