I rented three rooms here each $100. The first room i got looked like motel 6 and on their website it looked up to date but was not. i was given new rms in the remodeled section and was promised flat screen w a refrigerator. Nope that was a lie. We stayed anyway because the club was just down the street. So yes location was good but later that night me and my cousins were harrassed by security. We were in our rm talking and without even a first warning security said we were too loud and we had to leave. The security was rude and lacked customer service as well as the front desk clerks the following day when i went to complain. Do not stay here unless you are desperate!

Very courteous Staff for CHECK IN
Renovated room was attractive BUT:
No hot water to shower
Coffee Cup cracked, didn't discover until coffee poured and it leaked all over the counter
Check out staff had a stick up her tooshie.
When I came to the desk to ask for coffee in the lobby I was told I could buy some in the hotel restaurant. I explained the situation, to no avail.
Went to restaurant and told them my story. They brought me a cup of coffee (the $2.25 size from Starbucks) and charged me $3.21. I was aghast, but paid for it and marched back to my room.
Told check out staff that we had no hot water to the shower, and she told me "THAT is impossible." She then added that if we had complaints we needed to "contact Corporate"

Reservations were not quite as smoothly handled as others have been, but arrived here after a seven hour day of driving from Bend and we had a renovated room, as we assumed we would from what we had read, and the pool was cool and happy hour just about to get underway!
The hotel lobby is under major renos as are other units - this is a spread out complex with exterior and interior entrances....rather motelish in some ways really. I think they are on the right track here, upgrading this dated building, but there were still quite a few little deficiencies in our room which were disappointing, but didn't ruin our stay and when we pointed these out when we were leaving, the front desk offered us a free lunch, so we stayed and enjoyed it! If you are very picky some of the little things could bother you, I suppose. The smell of paint and carpeting were a little offputting and altho there are sliding doors to a sitting area outside facing a common grassed area (which was great for relaxing on), we were hesitant to leave it open at night. The bathroom window did open and seemed quite secure and let some cool air in at night - air con was somewhat noisy. The room was clean and linens fresh and crisp. The salt water outdoor pool was wonderful. Cool and refreshing with lovely soft comfy loungers and little tented canopies to take refuge from the sun under. The lounge was great....on site with a super happy hour. Half hour drinks and food and complimentary appetizers as well! The location was a little odd....convenient to just stroll over to the mall, which was a good one, but a little dark when the sun went down and no security about that we could see and there was a sketchy fellow the mall security was trailing that was heading towards the hotel so I felt a little unsafe....glad my hubby was with me! Having said that tho, all in all it was a good stay and I hope the management can ensure the continuing renos are done quickly and consistently. It has a nice contemporary feel to it and you can see they are really trying.

Here are my complaints about this hotel:

1) Room A/C is completely inadequate and LOUD. Unable to sleep with it on due to noise and unable to sleep in 90+ degree heat without it.

2) Disgusting beds with unclean sheets

3) Big spots on the carpet. We wore our shoes in the room.

When I complained about this to the hotel front desk, they could care less.

They also overcharged us and refused to issue a refund.

Avoid at all costs.

I stayed at the Red Lion At Arden Village this past week and found the accommodations to be very nice. I had read things on this site in the past that made me suspicious of staying at this hotel so I was very pleased when my stay turned out to be just about perfect.

They have remodeled and are still remodeling but have limited any inconveniences to the traveler. The restaurant and lounge are very nice and the service I had in the the lounge was great and personable.

I stayed in a room in the main building and it was recently remodel. It was very nice and had a great view of a beautiful courtyard and pool area.

The wi fi was free, I am doing this review from my room as we speak.

The staff was very friendly and accommodation and the location was great, right next to the Arden Village Mall which I walked to several time during my stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel to other, and as a bonus, this hotel was $40 cheaper than the other hotels in the area.

Good Job Red Lion!

Sincerely,
