“A night of sleep on the interstate...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

Spent one night there through Priceline. I therefore got it at a low price. Good because I would not pay more for that hotel! If you pay the full fare... find another hotel!

First of all, take a map and look how close the interstate is. Well, the room is adequate but extremely noisy. They provide you with earplugs but this is not an acceptable solution for me. There are more adequate ways nowadays for blocking noise! This is a Crowne Plaza, not a cheap motel, I do not expect to hear every single truck passing by. Note that our room was somewhere in the middle of the building, it means many rooms are even closer from the I-80!

Otherwise, room is comfy, service was average and there is plenty of parking. On the minus side, it's quite far from downtown.

We stayed at this property during the remodel and it was old and disappointing. The reason we stayed was convenience. This time we stayed again for convenience and since the remodel was complete we thought we would give it a try and the price was great. WOW, they have done a FANTASTIC job. The rooms are fresh and clean, the common areas are spacious and new and the staff is great. We will stay here again. Location is central to Roseville and Sacramento.

This is a recently remodeled and transformed property with spacious rooms, adequate and new fitness equipment, and a reasonable restaurant with excellent and highly attentive service. The staff are eager to please and very hospitable. We'll stay here again.

The price was right. It was even less than the event price we were supposed to book. We have been 4 years to this exact hotel under another name. The rooms were improved, but the lounge was huge and uninviting. Staff was not friendly and it was a cold welcome. They told us to come down for coffee in the am, but instead had moved the coffee into the bar area. We took a peak, but it was dark and uninviting for morning coffee. We skipped the free vouchers for drinks when we arrived and skipped the coffee because it felt creepy and not warm and friendly. I hope we dont have to stay there again next year for our conference.

The hotel appears to have been recently remodeled and it was very nice and clean. Just a couple of small negative things -the wi-fi was a little slow and if you had a room on the freeway side, you could hear the traffic. This Crowne Plaza does not provide ear plugs like the one in LA by the airport. They should offer them to guests in the rooms on the freeway side as a nice added touch...however Target is less than a half mile away from the hotel and we purchased some there. We would return to this hotel in the future. The lobby is very nice and elegant.

Room Tip: Bring earplugs just in case they are very busy and you get a room on the freeway side of the hotel.

Another great Priceline deal. Rooms are well appointed, good wifi signal, 2 complimentary waters and Famous Amos cookies (you don't see that much anymore), Nice staff at counter. Only have a few negatives.

* Bathroom counter could have been cleaner
* 30" flat screen did not have HD, I hate that.
* If your facing the freeway the old windows don't block out much road noise

"very good" rating is directly related to low room cost and above average ammenities.

Room Tip: Ask for room not facing freeway. Bid lower than 80.00 on Priceline.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

My wife, daughter, and I decided to stay a night in Sacramento as a little add on to our Tahoe trip at the last and found this place on Trip Advisor. we were not disappointed. We only paid about 80 bucks and we were surprised when we arrived to a nice, large, lobby. the front desk guy was exceptionally friendly and we were in our room in no time. Beds were very comfortable and everything seemed very clean. Nice bathroom as well however we did notice a rather low ceiling which may have been awkward for someone, say over 6'4''. One other thing I would mention which was brought up by someone else is the small selection of tv channels. Couldn't find a single childrens show. Other than that we were very satisfied with our stay, especially for the very affordable price.
