I was in Sacramento for 2 nights to visit family. At check-in. It toke the young lady 20 min to check me in. She was so busy talking getto back in fourth with her other co-worker that it was just uncalled for. So if you ever go to check-in. Make sure you dont get the young lady with the hafe black an blond hair. Because you are going to stand awhile. As for my room. Very nice. Except there is a freeway right outside my window. Noise all night. Not sound proof at all. Only feather pillows on the bed. I had a room with a connecting door. Didn't ask for it. An never will. Heard every noise the guest next door made. Kids yelling. An running in an out slamming the door. It was like a zoo. Asked the housekeeper where a Starbucks was. She toke me into a vacant room. Where she pointing down the street. There is one right outside the hotel near a small shopping center. I had seen other guest with coffee. An they directed me in the right direction. I will never stay there again. EVER!!!

Stayed at this Holiday Inn while attending a wedding in Sacramento. June 30th to July 1st, 2007. The room was clean and the floor quiet. The employees were very nice and helpful with whatever we needed.

I really liked the location of the hotel as we could just walk to a lot of activities in Old Sacramento. I do wish the poll was more than just a tiny 10 yard pool. The pool is only good for small children to play in, which is great it that is the need. It's not a pool for adults.

I booked last minute via the hotel website; got a good rate via my AAA card. Check-in was a breeze; got a room before the 3pm check-in time and nice touch with the basket of apples. Rooms are okay; I miss having a fridge available. Please note I have stayed here several times in the past with no complaints. Pool is small but area tidy and inviting. Two things happend that pixxxd me off; #1 the phone rang at midnight woke me up out of a dead sleep; I didn't realize it was the phone until morning. The message light was blinking; the message was something about the riverfront...the #2 was the maid knocked on my door not once but 4 times. The first being at 8am in the morning, the second at 830, she peeked her head in then, Two more times after that. I urge you to use the privacy sign. I am not sure if I will stay again for this reason.; if I do I will put the privacy up that is for sure.

I stayed 2 nights in March with a girlfriend and we both thought this hotel was perfect in every way. It is clean, attractive, modern and shopping and tourist attractions are right outside the door within walking distance. We parked with the valet, but ended up never using it. So save yourself a few dollars and park in the parking garage just steps away. Old Sacramento, IMAX theater, and a huge two-story outdoor mall was right outside the hotel door. The hotel was friendly and they let us check in early at noon when we arrived. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant one morning and it was good. Nothing special, but good. All the common areas and the rooms are very attractively furnished with rich colors, marble, and elegant fixtures. There's a great microbrew restaurant next door at the mall where we had dinner twice (it was THAT good). Perfect location, great hotel. We both said we would definitely be back.
