What a fun experience to have stayed 2 days on a river boat. This little piece of history is located on the water, right by the old towne area of Sacramento. You can walk around and enjoy the unique shoppes or else head to the bar and grille to enjoy a nice glass of wine and a bite to eat.

This is in the heart of Old Sac right on the water. The boat has great history and there are lots of pictures and things to see on the boat. Beautiful old wood work. The rooms have been redone and have everything you need. Coffee maker, blow dryer, TV etc. The rooms are a little on the small side (its a boat) but not too tight. The sheets are rough, the bed is OK but not fantastic. It is a great location in that you are right across the street from the center of Old Sac. Dinner, breakfast and cocktails on the Delta King were all over the top. Great place for a day or two to explore the boat and Old Sac.

I will start with a wow! Such a lovely place to stay! Staff are professional, rooms are clean, location and views are unbeatable! We stayed here during the Xmas holidays with the Travelzoo deal. Arrived from SF by train. Within walking distance from AmTrak station. Old Sacramento is at your doorstep, you walk straight into it. Railway museum is a short walk to the west ( 5 min). Walk through Old Sacramento and you find yourself in the mall after which you are in K street which takes you to State Capitol ( turn right from K and 10th). Rooms are very clean. Had a good sleep, no noise. Great dining area and bar. Overall, 5 stars!

Ship has character and charm, but the rooms, although clean and attractive, are not especially comfortable. Besides the fact the floor slants because the ship is built that way, the sheets are rough muslin - my biggest complaint. At this price point, the linens should be good quality. And my first mattress was not good (but they cheerfully moved me to a much better bed with a sincere apology.) The furniture in the rooms is not comfortable, the TVs are set to the wrong aspect ratio so everything looks distorted. These are not rooms you relax in, you sleep there and leave, just as it would have been in the old days. However, the breakfast included with the room was good, the restaurants are very attractive and the staff was very nice. It's fun for one night but that was enough for me.
