My husband and I stayed @ Moon River just as a little getaway overnight , and because it was my husbands birthday weekend. I loved how close it is to the pocket area , the night we stayed there was karoake in the bar with alot of people in attendance! It also happened to be a birthday party for all people with birthdays in Niovember with cake!! The food we ordered was great , the drinks were good and fair priced. And the room was great , nice comfty bed and the jacuzzi tub was a definate plus!!!! Especially considering hard to find Hotel rooms in the Sac area that offer jacuzzi's in the room. We will definately stay again.

We stayed at Moon River while visiting family. For us it was a very convenient location. Arriving in Sacramento late in the evening, Anna, the hostess, waited up for us, had our room well air-conditioned and was more than gracious. The rest of the staff, Steve and Julie, were also very accomodating and friendly. There is now a bar and bistro on the premises with good bistro food served on weekends. There's live music from 3:00 - 7:00 on weekends. Since we were there over July 4th there was also an Independence Day barbeque and fireworks display.

All in all it was a great place to stay and we will definitely stay there again. The rooms are large and comfortable with king size beds and jacuzzi tubs. Breakfast is standard during the week but on the weekends there is a very adequate breakfast menu. Despite the bar, our room was relatively quiet, occasionally some parking lot noise.

So Moon River is not just a b&b; it's a b&b, b&b and B (bed and breakfast, bar and bistro and a Blast).

We have stayed at Moon River on a couple of occasions. We found it to be comfortable, quiet & well located for our needs (visiting relatives). The room are quite generously sized & the jacuzzi tub in each room is definitely a plus! The entertainment room is a nice feature-pool,darts,TV,music etc & a comfortable area to sit & read.
Check-in is fun because you get to go look at each available room. The management is casual & friendly, they live on the premises so it has a family feel. Close to the golf course & a couple of local restaurants.
We found the breakfast to be 'just ok'. On the occasions we were there the 'bar area' was closed because it was a holiday time.
