“Good Value, Good Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Sacramento - Riverside during the first week of Dec 2012 because my girlfriend was interviewing at a nearby Hospital. The Hotel was in a good location downtown right on the River and close to Old Sacramento with a bunch of really cool shops, candy stores, restaruants, and even a nice jewelrly store. The suites were large and updated. The Atrium is large with a nice water fall.

The hotel has free drinks everyday at 5:30. Also their is a nice eatery in the back of the hotel which has wood oven pizza, nice sandwhiches, fried calmari, and all a very reasonable price for being a hotel. The hotel also has free breakfast in the morning.

The hotel provided us with a ride from the airport which we werent even expecting. We just so happened to see a shuttle while at the airport with an Embassy Suites logo. The housekeepers were friendly, spoke, and smiled at us. And the bellman was kind enough to get us an umbrella because it was raining when left for the day.

I do want to thank the Manager on Duty. I think her name was Bobbi (tall african american woman). Bobbi helped us at check in when we were exhausted from traveling and had a minor issue with our credit card as we checked in. Bobbi was kind and willing to help us. She got us in right away. We will be back for sure.

This is your typical Embassy Suites experience - they all seem to be laid out the same with indoor courtyard, free hot breakfast, room with separate living room and bedroom. It's in a great location in Old Sacramento - walking distance to the museums. My two young kids liked walking along the river and over the bridge. The indoor pool is really small though, and when we were there, the water was cold (I thought it was supposed to be a heated pool?) Luckily, we practically had the pool to ourselves at 10 am on a Saturday. When we peeked in that evening, it was swarming with big kids and teenagers! Also, on Saturday nights the sound of people out in the courtyard and in the other rooms keep going until about 11 pm. The room itself is showing some signs of age but was clean, we had one issue with the sheets which housekeeping responded to very quickly. Overall, it was a very good experience and we'll be back!

Room Tip: Don't be discouraged at the apparent lack of seating at breakfast - walk in and past the bar and...

Great location! Walked to movies, mall, old sacramento, restaurants and shops. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we had a nice breakfast. The view from the room of the river was nice. When the bridge opens there is a siren so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. I enjoyed the exercise room and the courtyard by the river was very peaceful and pretty with fall colors.

This hotel was terrific! The room was big and had a nice layout. And of course, you can't beat an Embassy Suites breakfast! The dinner reception had veggies and dip and chips and dip. The hotel is right across the street from Old Sacramento. This area is really neat and has lots of shops and restaurants. There is also a shopping center near by. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including the outside parking/shuttle staff. They gave great recommendations for dinner. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to Sacramento.

Loved everything about this hotel, the staff and the food.

It's right on the river, at the Tower Bridge, in Old Sacramento which is largely a tourist draw.

ZERO issues with the room, staff and food. Spacious room, well equipped, had a river view.

Good eatery, right on the river, is the Rio Cafe; superb bartending and great food.

All parking is by valet and they do charge for it but the service was excellent.

Every morning is a free all you can eat breakfast, to include omelets or egg dishes made to order. Several evenings a week there's a Manager's Reception with free beer and wine. The menu is decent and they don't try to get real fancy, so you get pleasant food.

Coin laundry is adequate as is the small business center.

Bartender Bob is real likable chap who takes good care of his patrons.

Room Tip: Get a room with a river view if you can.

The location of this hotel is terrific, Sacremento Old town is right across the street and the river runs right past the hotel. It is a great location, with lots of restaurants and attractions near by. As usual the Breakfast was great and social hour very nice. This is a well run and very clean Embassy suites in a great location.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our river view rooms, but the rooms on the other side of the hotel would have a great vie...

We recently spent 3 nights at this property, located on the promenade of the Sacramento river. It is a lovely hotel, very updated and classy. The staff were more than helpful in all regards. We enjoyed the free buffet breakfast each morning - especially the cook to order eggs, and the Manager's reception each night. The front desk greeted us every time we passed, as did the housekeeping staff. The few small things we needed to have fixed (one of the phones was not working), were attended to immediately. The location was excellent - close proximately to all the "touristy" places were enjoyed. It was only a block from Old Town Sacramento, with all the museums and cute shops. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were on the freeway side, but could not hear the noise through the windows. Also had a very nice...
