We actually walked past the hotel initially as we hadn't realised quite how close to the UCD TRAUMA MED CENTER and SHRINERS childrens hospital. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when we checked in Tanya made instant reservations for my friend who is disabled senior and in wheelchair after he had a biopsy done , making sure we had a room that was som big he felt at home. He also was greeted by General Manager the next morning Amanda and later told me how nice everyone was. Besides having a well desined suite clean and i would highly recomed this hotel marrriot is across the street ive stayed there but it did not feel like home The loft rooms are beautifully done, lovely neutral colour scheme with porches as well. Thank you Hotel Med Park for trating my friend like he was at home.

Room Tip: The loft rooms are beautifully done, lovely neutral colour scheme with porches as well.

Dear Mo,

We are very pleased to hear that you were happy with your accommodations and are glad that our location was of great convenience to your needs. While we do have very nice standard rooms, as you mentioned we also have very spacious suites that are great for larger families and longer term stays. We thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others and hope that you will stay with us next time you're in Sacramento. Our staff wishes you safe travels and a very jolly holiday season!

This was our second stay at Hotel Med Park this year. We arrived Saturday at 7:00 PM and could not find an available parking spot in their tiny parking structure. The hotel lobby was locked (we did not have a room key yet) and had to wait a while for the staff to buzz us in. The young lady who checked us in did not even greet us with a warm welcome or smile once during our check-in process.

We were instructed to park in the UC Davis Medical Center parking structure located across the street where the hotel validates parking. We asked about parking in the spot along the wall before going down the turn into the garage as it would not block any cars from passing in and out but were told that was not acceptable. No sooner did we return from parking across the street did we find another guest was allowed to park in that same spot.

Although the rooms are clean, large, very quiet, and reasonably priced, we have serious reservations about recommending Hotel Med Park or returning due to the hotel staff's curtness and unwelcoming interactions with its guests.

Room Tip: This hotel has a very small parking structure located underground that only allows for a limited num...

Please accept my sincere apology for your experience with my teammate. It is hard to imagine this comment because we pride ourselves in our customer service and all I can really say this is very uncommon. My team and I know we are in the business of hospitality and while I am not sure the who in which you are referring I will certainly research and speak with that associate at length. While I know we are all human that is not our standard and I will work more closely with this associate to remedy this shortcoming. I am truly sorry you were not received warmly as that is unacceptable. We try our best to regulate our parking situation and we do give out notices when folks are parked in unmarked spaces. We hope you will allow us to provide you with an improved experience and allow us to service your needs the next time you are in Sacramento.

We stayed here to be close to UC Davis Hospital and upon arriving could not figure out where to park until we realized the only parking for the property was underground and the size of my living room. It took a ten point turn just to get out of our parking space. The room itself was clean and spacious, the staff average. Cordial, but not super friendly. We did not and will not stay here again simply because of the parking.

Thank you for your review rhemagirl,

I am glad you enjoyed our rooms and I am sorry you struggled with the parking. Urban parking can be a challenge if it isn't something folks do every day. Since your stay in January, I am happy to say improvements have been made by updating our website and proactively sharing options for guests with large cars, removing confusing signage and painting columns with reflective paint to make key areas "brighter" for those three point turns. We also have three parking spaces "up top" that can also be utilized that do not require going down at all. I hope you will reconsider a return visit as we still do not charge for parking at our hotel and certainly folks have the option of using Parking Garage #3 at UC Davis Medical facility which is directly in front of our hotel. We have seen an improvement for guests with these changes and we always take any feedback given and put it to good use. We have made some improvements; we hope you will give us another chance on your next visit to Sacramento.

Safe travels,

Amanda Allison

From the moment you walk into the hotel , you will immediately get the sense that everything is going to be a nice, relaxing stay. Hotel staff friendly and welcoming. Lobby comfortable and contemporary design. Upon opening the door to my room, amazed at how nicely the room was laid out. I would highly recommend this hotel. Underground parking, well lite and clean.
Across from UC Davis Hospital. close to freeways East and West

Dear valued guest,

We very much appreciate your candid review and for sharing your wonderful experience with other guest. The room you stayed in is our 1 Bedroom King Suite with a cozy jetted tub that's always nice to relax - also featuring a separate living room with a second television and a pull-out sofa bed for extra space. We do offer a variety of room layouts that may better accommodate your needs, this is particularly nice for families or if you need a place to have smaller meetings it works very well for that. We hope to see you again during your travels to Sacramento!

I stayed at Hotel Med Park while attending a multi-day event at Sac State. Although this hotel's primary audience is undoubtedly those visiting or associated with UC Davis Medical Center (located directly across the street), this was also very conveniently located for Sac State and for attending gatherings downtown. The hotel's manager, Ms. Amanda Allison, was very helpful in directing us to Sacramento restaurants, watering holes and places to hike -- a very gracious host. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, provided ample space for work and had a small refrigerator for in-room beverages and snacks. Significantly, the HVAC system worked wonderfully, an important consideration for anyone visiting Sacramento in the summer, making it a great place to sleep. The hotel provides a continental breakfast each morning. I would recommend the hotel for those visiting Sacramento.

Our son was invited to Davis's Accepted Student day and originally, we weren't going to go and with 24 hours notice, we needed a hotel for 5 people. We used our rewards and got this hotel.
We arrived very late from Southern California and had a hard time finding the hotel since the GPS kept trying to send us somewhere else and, that late at night off of the highway, everything looked really sketchy so try to arrive during daylight hours.
We were in a large SUV and since we had a 9 hour commute, the kids needed to be comfortable. FIRST ISSUE: Parking. The parking lot is underground and is really difficult to maneuver in a large SUV. Only one car can go in and out safely because the pitch and narrowness of the area doesn't allow for any mistakes. So if you have a rental car, pick a very, very small car! SECOND ISSUE: elevator. You cannot go into the underground parking and expect to go up in the elevator. You need a key that works, and the few times that we needed to go up, the room card didn't work and we were loaded with shopping. Someone had to open the elevator door for us.
The room was spacious, clean and modern. The soaps smelled great! We did have a view of a neighbor's back yard. Re the breakfast: mostly carbs that, as a diabetic, I couldn't have, but the clerk gave us really good directions to Mel's Diner a couple of miles away which the kids really liked (parking, however, was at a premium). There is no restaurant on site.
So, if you are staying at this hotel, you will really appreciate the size and quality of the room but you will need a small car, lots of patience to pull out of this lot, and expect to eat somewhere else if you can't have carbs.

Room Tip: top floor away from street side.

Thank you for sharing your experience with fellow travelers. I apologize that you experienced some difficulties finding our hotel, we are a little under a mile from either freeway that you take to get here and we are here to serve you if you need directions anywhere, please call us. I do understand your frustration that it can be a tight squeeze to get to our underground parking garage with larger vehicles, however, it can get done and we do not charge for our parking. It is well lit, covered, and with easy access to our guest rooms. Because our elevator is only accessible by guest room keys we do have a phone on the right hand-side (in front of the elevator) that you may pick up that will call the Front Desk and we will gladly send the elevator down to get you. There are many great options for restaurants in the area, for brunch two great places I would recommend are: "Orphan Breakfast House" (cash only, quaint, limited hours, and in a residential area with plenty of parking) and "Tower Cafe" also with plenty of parking. For breakfast/lunch options we are two doors down from Sunshine Cafe (limited hours) which is also greatly recommended by our staff. We thank you for your business and hope that you will stay with us in the future.

This hotel is convenient to the medical center but is also very near downtown and access to the capitol. The only reason for not giving an excellent rating is the location on a busy street and the limited parking, which is below the hotel.

Wife and I were well received by courteous staff. Rooms were very presentable and neat. Everthing you might need is there. Breakfast was typical continental style but everything was fresh and plenty available.

A good experience overall.
