If you are looking for comfortable, reasonably priced room wih friendly/helpful staff in Sacramento area, this is for you. The hotel is not really around anything but other hotels, but it seems fairly new and is easy to get to via car. Everything in the room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Our king-bed room had a refrigerator (no freezer), microwave, desk, chair, free internet, coffee maker. In spite of a pillow top bed (which I normally find too soft), the bed, linens and pillows were so comfortable. But the staff really helped take this place to the next level. I needed a knife to cut some cheese and a cork screw to open wine. The people at the restaurant were more than willing to help. The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful when I needed to store an ice pack in their freezeer. They showed me exactly where they put it so that I wouldn;t have any issues in the morning. The internet worked flawlessly.
You can hear the traffic from the road in our room. Since we aren't bothered by minor noises like that, it was OK with us. If you are sensitive to any noise, you may ask to be on the other side of the building.
Cookies were out at night and coffee/tea in the morning. Breakfast was an additional charge unless you had Hyatt status. This is a great hotel for business people, and for people, like myself, travelling on leisure who always work a little while travelling. While I didn't try it, apparently you can print from your computer to the printers from anywhere in the hotel at no extra charge.
It is so nice to see hotels not trying to nickel and dime you for every little thing (the higher priced hotels seem to be especially good at trying to get an extra dollar).
Bottom line: while I'd like to stay in the old town area, this hotel for the money beats out any advantage of staying right in the city.
