it was great to see all the kids riding the Polar Express, there was a tree lighting as well and the town was filled with lights, and cheering when the tree was lit
First we thought: What could be so great about the railway museum in Sacramento that makes it the number one thing to do? But it really was very cool. Even my wife, who is not very interested in this kind of thing, was very fond of this place. Everything was well maintained and made with love for detail. This is a great museum for young and old.
great place to visit the history of the rail yard. Very near attractions. Located close to the convention center, city mall, city zoo. Great places to eat near by
I am not a museum person and this would be my MUST SEE recommendation to all! The displays are well kept, great painting and history. The greatest part is the volunteers! The retired railway group that are there to entertain, explain,and share their great knowledge and love of the trains is an asset that is more priceless than the golden spike! So glad to be able to witness this love of trains, history and profession.
Amazing display of California RR history. Tells the whole story of the building of the RR through the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the 1800's. The displays are great. If you like trains, you will go nuts for this place. Very cool building too.
