“Not bad and kind of noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

The hotel is clean and quite basic. My stay was quite short and I appreciated that the room came with hot breakfast and free WI-FI. In terms of the room itself, it had the basic necessities with a flat screen TV and desk. We arrived super late that night and ended up getting a room facing the back of the hotel. This was quite annoying because I didn't realize it was facing either the freeway or expressway where cars are literally zooming by and you could hear them! At first I thought the windows were open but they weren't. Note to self - ask for a room that faces the front of the hotel.

In terms of location - I loved the fact their location was walking distance to the mall. You could walk or take a short drive to Starbucks or the bank if needed.

Great value if you purchase through Priceline. But the carpet, linens, pillows, etc. all seem a bit tired and worn. Also it's challenging getting the temperature just right. It's either too hot or too cold! Overall a decent, average hotel.

Do not book this hotel through Priceline. And if you do accidentally, ask for your money back. After booking the room, I called and asked for two queen beds since we have two 6' boys. We were told that we requested a King bed through Priceline. Explained that there is no place on Priceline to choose one or two beds. Told us they couldn't help us because we booked on Priceline, but ask for a rolling bed when we get in.

Checked in and explained the situation. Again, they stated they would not help us because we booked on Priceline. But said they would send up a rolling bed. Got into the tiny room and after several calls, they said they could not send up a rolling bed because the room was too small. The room they put us in because . . . you guessed it, we booked on Priceline.

Two hours after we checked in, they called the room to ask how everything was. Umm, other than the fact that we have two big guys sleeping on a tiny uncomfortable sofa bed? "Oh, we can take care of that. We'll move you to a room with two queens."

Perfect. They called about an hour later and said that, "No. They could not move us to another room because . . ." I bet you can figure the rest of the story out.

Hey, Courtyard. Here's a hint. If you don't want customers through Priceline, don't sign up for the freaking service. You obviously don't want me here, and I don't want to stay in a hotel that treats Priceline customers like they are a nuisance, instead of a paying customer.

Poor service. Poor planning. You have lost a customer who is actually a Marriott Rewards member.

(In reading the other reviews, looks like we weren't the only one with this exact same problem. GM claims he talked to the front desk with another customer. Obviously it did not work. Classless and rude manager.)

Room Tip: Do not stay here if you used Priceline. They will be extremely rude.

Stayed at the Marriott Roseville Galleria this past week driving in from northern Nevada. I t was a very clean, well presented environment, very attractive lobby, with a good morning breakfast offered. Our room was spacious, quiet and restful. Although I didn't take advantage of the pool, it did look quite inviting. It is conveniently located near a shopping mall; the only caveat I have is that having a GPS to locate the hotel is clearly helpful,,the hotel is sey back somewhat from one of the main streets.
All in all, a very good choice.

On the morning of 11/24/12 before leaving our home, my husband called to let the front desk know that we would like to have two beds. After attending a wedding ceremony, my husband, son, and I dressed in our formal outfit, arrived at the hotel to find our room to be one king size and one sofa bed. We came down to ask Keya, the front office supervisor, to change the room to two double beds. My husband showed her Marriott Honored Guest Awards Card. She said because we booked on Priceline, she was “not able to change her computer and the change must be done by Priceline”. My husband spent the next 20 minutes on the phone with a Priceline representative, who said the change had to be done by Marriott, not Priceline. Priceline representative evan called and spoke to Keya, who refused to change and said she was the only supervisor on duty. She did have two double beds, but she could not give it to us and no one else could help us. Because we were going out to wedding reception/dinner and did not want to make this situation worse to spoil our evening, we did not request the maid to make the bed. We did it after a long, exhausted drive when the hotel parking lot was quite empty. Later we found out hotel was only 28% full.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely put together. The cost was competitive. However, I didn't get much sleep. The air conditioner was extremely loud and came on about every 15 - 20 minutes. It was to hot to turn the air off for the night.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff was friendly and breakfast was great! Kudos to the chef/waiter! He was such a hard working employee taking care of the kitchen and being a waiter all by himself and always had a smile on his face! It's people like him that make your stay even more enjoyable! The only suggestion I do have is better pillows please!
