“Average motel, worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Went here for a one night stay to visit Edwards AFB. Rooms were ok but not more.

Two big beds that were nice. Cleaning could have been bether thou as we found a used cotton swabs on one of the beds.

AC was quite loud and due to this we couldn't have it on at night making the room very hot.

But after all it was worth it as the room was quite cheap.

During the scorching California heatwave, my mother's air conditioning unit failed. A quick and safe solution was to locate lodging at the local Devonshire Inn. The owners welcomed Mom with open arms. They placed her in a room on the first level close to the office so that they could watch over her. The second night she was offered a generous room rate discount without asking. The room was clean and well equipped with a kitchenette and microwave. Mom felt like she was on a "mini-vacation"! I would highly recommend the Devonshire Inn for your future visit to Rosamond or the Antelope Valley. The on-site owners care about their customers, providing excellent service, and building community.

If you are a Four Seasons or Hilton guest please stay away as this is a gem for us road trippers who appreciate a good ole AMERICAN Motel...it looks like a Motel and it is a motel, its clean and convenient to any activity at Willow Creek Motorway or visit to Edwards Airforce base, Mojave Space Center or to see what a REAL windfarm looks like...we found it on Google as one of us was doing the Rick Seamen Stunt Driving Course at the raceway....we are from Hawaii where we own a small Hotel so we look for clean above all else....AND it has a free, simple but adequate, Continental breakfast and both the pool and Jaccuzzi work. There is a good size room fridge and microwave, flat screen TV and one packet of daily coffee....oh and the A/C worked just fine
The town has an Albertsons, McD, Taco Bell and the local Tom's which was our staple for bfast.
One of us had to entertain themself while the other took the Stunt School and as I drove around taking roads and the freeway north south east and west of Rosamond I found it was a stop in itself of interesting sub cultures of American life from the iconic ( but new looking) historic jets on display outside Edwards to the GIGANTIC windfarms on nearby ridges toward Mojave and the new Space Center right at Mojave Town....
We would give it a five but it doesnt pretend to be Posh...!!
Oh and nice owner, and manager couple from NC...

Room Tip: Upstairs of course....due to pool in the way this is not a drive up to room Motel but parking is clo...
