“Great hotel for a decent price”

I booked this tour because I was taking my boyfriend on a beer tour with North Bay Brewery Tours. The pickup location was just across the street from this hotel. Very simply stated: The price was fair, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool and hot tub were awesome, and the service was great. We only stayed one night, but we would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Also, the free cookie during check-in was delicious! =)

The hotel is a beautiful property with nice, comfortable rooms. It has a great gym, excellent breakfast and lovely views. But what made our stay special was the help we received from the General Manager, Rene Rodriguez. We had an administrative issue where our reservations got canceled and there wasn't a room to be had in the area. Rene contacted a friend who found us a room at the Marriott and then arranged the rest of our stay here at the DoubleTree. He threw in some "extras" for us as well. His understanding and assistance during a very stressful time was so appreciated. I hope Hilton knows what a valuable manager they have in Rene.

I was here for a conference, everything was OK, but nothing was Great. Service in the restaurant was a joke, don't go there unless you have at least an hour. The staff was OK, but not overly friendly (except Diane at the Starbucks, she's awesome). There were no scenic views, it is not close to wine country (your at least 45 minutes away), and there is a constant influx of people arriving on a shuttle bus from SF airport.
The rooms smelled nice, the bed was cozy and comfy, but the bathroom needed some work. The shower head was horrible and tile was loose.
The conference area was VERY noisy....I would never hold a corporate function here. Staff was very inconsiderate of noise levels.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Doubletree. The building/lobby is beautiful. Very welcoming. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful - great customer service both times. The location is excellent as it is easy to reach via the freeway and is also close to a variety of restaurants. I have already recommended this hotel to co-workers and friends.

Don't believe in the mountain view, golf course view, friendly service or even getting a cookie at check-in at this Double Tree. Staff is young and did not provide good customer service. Room had ants in it and toilet had hair on it. Long walk outside to get to the rooms from the lobby carrying your own luggage with no offer for help. Not worth the money for the service, cleanliness, or luxury that a Hilton should provide.

Double Trees are so odd to me. I used to think of them as a pretty nice chain, but they seem to be really hit-or-miss. The Doubletree in Rohnert Park is equal parts hit and miss. I stayed two nights for a meeting in the area. On the upside, the staff is very nice, well-trained, and helpful. The lobby area is quite comfortable and has ample space for impromptu meetings. It's clean. The downside is that the rooms are quite dated and in serious need of a fresh. They've done little things to try to spruce up the interiors a bit. Newish counters in the bathroom. A little shabby-chic stand for towels and other bathroom accouterments. But the tile work is very 1980-somthing. Carpet is clean but very dated.

The biggest bummer is the ventilation system. I stayed in November, and it was in the 50's outside. Inside, it was really warm, and they have the HVAC set so that it kicks off after a few minutes...even if you bring the thermostat down its lowest set-point of 65 degrees. I tend to run warm, so I thought it was probably just me...but everyone at the meeting I was attending said it was too warm.

All in all, it wasn't bad. It wasn't great. It was passable. But next time I'll try the Rohnert Park Hampton Inn.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. They printed my boarding pass for my flight, they help see to it that I was comfortable in every way, and they answered every question that I had with a smile and always offered additional assistance.
