Located inside a very good Mexican supermarket, this place is fun, flavorful and very affordable. The store itself has it's own bakery, deli and tortilla factory and it gives you the feel of visiting Mexico. Lot of interesting meats, cheeses and produce.
Inside, they have a walk up restaurant with many "fresh Mex" and traditional foods: taco combination plates, chile verde, chile Colorado, tamales, soups -- a very wide selection and at very reasonable prices.
We opted for some fresh tacos. They offer pork, beef, chicken, fish and shrimp. We chose the carne asada tacos, served on two freshly made corn tortillas. The meat was well seasoned, not dry and there was plenty of it. Meals are served with a basket of their freshly made chips. You can choose from a variety of freshly made salsas and toppings from their salsa cart.
Seating is on picnic tables inside the market, next to the colorful produce section. After enjoying our food, we made a tour of the store to look at all the items you can only find at a good Mexican market. Picked up all the ingredients to make Chicken Mole for dinner tonight!
