We have been going to Anchos in Riverside and have never been disappointed. The food is reasonably price and always fresh. The service in top notch and the atmosphere is very family oriented. There is always one of the owners onsite to make sure everything is up to their highest standards. They make their own corn tortilla chips and salsa daily. the chips are light and crispy and the salsa is not too hot. After the chips and salsa are delivered to your table, you are treated to all fo the home made flour tortillas you can eat. They have the tortilla maker in the middle of the restaurant and encourage kids to come and watch them make the tortillas. They even give the kids a ball of raw dough to play with (if you request it). All of their food is great, especially the steak fajitas, shrimp, ribs, steak, seafood enchiladas, chile rellanos and tamlaes. Their fish is always fresh and if you can pry yourself away from eating any of the beef, they are worth the price. The portions are large and for dessert, the kids can go to the little freezer they have an pick out their dessert. Every city deserves an Anchos. I just wish they were closer to where I live (40 minute drive but well worth it).
