“Picky eaters can 'boss' which toppings go on your burger”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011

At Burger Boss you can build a better burger suitable for nearly any picky or particular taste. You start by choosing from a beef, chicken, turkey or black bean vegan patty. You can pile on up to 20 free, conventional veggie or sauce toppings and for $1 each you can choose from 5 kinds of cheese. For $1 more you can add the gourmet toppings like hummus, grilled pine- apple or bacon. Prices do add up, so restrain yourself! Plus, an overloaded burger can get pretty soggy due to the soft, fresh buns.

Not much else on the menu but fries, shakes and kids' hot dogs or grilled cheese. The minimalist decor matches the thin menu, kind of an industrial look. The outside seating is pleasant. Bathrooms are very clean and the overhead menu boards are all electro- nic and digital. Service was helpful and cheerful but nothing special.

The facility is tucked in back of a vast parking lot behind a Jason's and may be challenging to locate despite artsy sandwich boards along Canyon Sprs. But it should be worth giving a try even if hard to find.

Bottom line: Die-hard burger fans should check the online menu to choose your toppings in advance. Wash it down with their very good ice tea brews.
