“Yummy tacos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

We enjoy going to Tios for the tacos and the great salsa. The restaurant is small but the servers are kind.

“Great Way to Recycle!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

I will give it to Tio's for their "Art". It is crazy wild, but a great way to reuse materials. I ate lunch there and took a walk on the grounds in the back. I couldn't help but take pictures of the creations. Food is good, but the sculptures are what keep you coming back.

“Mexican food in psychedelic surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

Line up at the counter, select anything at all from the extensive menu (it's all good, especially the tortas) and the agua frescas (fresh juices and horchatas), grab chips and salsa, and sit back to gawk at the fantasy artwork made of shells, stones, bottles and anything not nailed down. Sit outside and enjoy everything about this cheap and tasty place.

“It's the Art”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2009

I'l be honest with you.
We haven't been thru much of the menu at Tio's Tacos.
We love the Tacos but I am still searching for the perfect Chile Rellano.
What you have to do is go here for the atmosphere.

Tio's is sandwiched between, in and around two old houses and that is all you can say that is ordinary about it. Since 1990 the owner has been constructing whimsical junk art and sculptures which words cannot describe in the limits of this space.

It's Fred Sanford meets Disneyland.
Go.
But make sure you allow enough time to take it all in.
