“No Rating-Because I Deemed Too Expensive...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

I am not sure why they call themselves, "America's Best Value.'

Although, I did not stay, I was able to see a room. It is very tiny and you can get a much larger room up at the Best Western for just about the same price. They are actually one of the most expensive motels in town.

Room Tip: Go to Best Western. Almost same price. Larger rooms and free hot breakkfast.

Pat, thank you for your feedback, we are a brand new budget hotel located in Ridgecrest. Our rates fairly reasonable compared to other motels in town. I invite you to come visit our property so that we can give you nothing but a pleasant stay when traveling to Ridgecrest. Hope to see you soon.

In general, the room was clean, well maintained, looks like the interiors were recently remodeled. We could just park in front of the our rooms door and unload all our luggage. It also came with a mini refrigerator and a flat screen TV. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. We had stayed there on our way back to Bay Area from Death Valley National Park.

The room can be a little crampy with 2 queen beds in it, just a small compromise for the price you pay. The shower had a water saver fitted on it because of which the water was scanty. You have to stand below it a good deal of time to get wet :-(. That is the only complaint I had. The tub had some dirty like spots in it, although it did not seem like dirt.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for a budget friendly family traveller.

If you find yourself having to stay a night it Ridgecrest, which I don't see much reason to go there then this is a good basic motel. Pretty cheap, kindof clean and average. The rooms are tiny, but do have tv and bathroom is good!

We stayed in ABVI in different US cities and comparison to them this one is nothing. The room was clean but the bathroom was very old. No microwave, no breakfast. The location is close to Death Valley but unfortunately we had a Detour due to rode closure in 178

Clean large room with no frills. The bed was firm and the bathroom was good sized and clean. Adequate internet connection and a large screen TV. The motel is well situated and my room which was next to the street was quite. I would recommend this motel to anyone interested in a good low cost motel. If you need a low cost breakfast there is a MacDonald's and a Denny's just a block or so up the street.

This is a great budget hotel; expect nothing and you will be happy. The price was amazing. Thank goodness there was no breakfast; there is nothing worse than those unhealthy, preservative-laden breakfasts that other hotels boast and that we pay for but do not eat. I would rather NOT eat the breakfast and buy my breakfast from a restaurant.

The room was long and narrow, clean, everything worked, no bugs! The only ding that we had was that the walls were thin so bring ear plugs. This hotel was just a little bit out of the way from Tioga Pass on the way to Arizona. The pickings are slim in this area so we were glad to get a room.

Apart from a free bottle of water per person checking in there were no frills. But: The room was absolutely clean, spacious and - compared to similar properties in the west - very cheap. The staff also was very nice. We'd stay there again.

On a side note regarding our stay: Ridgecrest is conveniently located if you want to visit Death Valley while on your way from the West Coast to Las Vegas, but you should check with CalTrans first. We had an unexpected road closure between Trona and Death Valley that was only announced about 20 miles into the trip.

Room Tip: A ground floor room makes sense if you only stay for a night, which is what you'll probably do i...
