2nd floor rooms smell musty

Bed bottom sheet didn't fit mattress. otherwise beds are very comfortable

The Day laborers noted in other reviews were no big deal. They're out front on street because of small wall to sit on. They're not even in the parking lot and are only there from morning to early afternoon.
Restaurants and grocery stores were within a 5 minute drive.
Exercise room was adequate.

We were in the area on vacation, then I had to have emergency surgery. I was able to recooperate very nicely in the quiet, comfortable room.

Booked for 11 nights-stayed only one. We were to get a 2 room suite with kitchen but this property does not even have a suite with 2 rooms. Told the photos on the website are from "one of our other properties". The suites are not suites but rather regular rooms with double beds and a sofa couch. Breakfast had no fresh items after 7:30 and the coffee was cold. Do not recommend to anyone...moved to an Embassy Suites and paid less in a much nicer neighborhood.

When I describe this motel (as that's what it is, pure and simple) to freinds, I put quotes around the "Executive Suites" part of its name. What it is, as I said, is a motel. It's clean, the rooms are spacious (if a bit worn at the edges), and the staff (manager Ethiopian, rest of staff Hispanic) are extremely friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable (although we didn't open the "hide-a-bed") and the decor simple but tasteful. All the amenities (microwave, fridge, phone, TV, WiFi, ethernet) worked well, there are free toiletries (the usual soap and shampoo in the room, toothpaste, razors, etc., for the asking), and the free coffee and bottled water in the room are nice. In the building is an inexpensive coin-op laundry and a compact but well-found workout room. The free "continental breakfast" is minimal (dry cereal, instant oatmeal, sweet rolls, coffee, tea, bagles, English muffins--no fresh fruit or juice) but quite palatable.

The location is convenient to Stanford University, Menlo College, and Silicon Valley. Though less than half a block from one of the peninsula's main thoroughfares (El Camino Real), we could hear very little nighttime traffic noise. There's adequate parking, and a bus line right on El Camino that provides quick access to the CalTrain interurban rail system. If you're a walker or jogger, you'll like being right across the highway from one of America's most attractive and tony neighborhoods (Atherton). In the other direction, and in and around the motel, itself, you'll find ample opportunity to brush up your Spanish.

Considering the location, I would have deemed this motel a comfortably good buy at around $65 a night. Our stay, at AARP discounts, averaged close to $100 per night (rates change depending on the day of the week--weekends, in keeping with the "Exective Suites" appellation, are cheaper and midweek days the most expensive). That said, we'd probably stay here again if we had a particular reason, as we did this time, to be in this specific location.
