My friend booked me into this hotel starting July 9 because of the positive TripAdvisor reviews. I stayed for 12 nights in this hotel. I stayed in the tiny room with the shared bathroom accommodations. The room when I arrived had dust in some of the furniture and a missing light on the table. Though this was remedied eventually, the room was not very comfortable. Unfortunately I had a very poor experience in terms of management providing proper and appropriate communication that is needful. The manager in charge also demonstrated condescending, shaming and abusive behavior. And though the manager eventually apologized, the abuse, the trauma had already been done. And unlike more customer-focused professionals, he made no attempt to make up for the serious faux pas committed during my stay. I wanted to make a formal complaint to the owner of the hotel, but the manager that he was the owner. Turns out after asking the other employees in the hotel that the manager is NOT the owner. Therefore, what the manager said was a lie designed to intimidate me, the customer. I know he meant to intimiddate me because the manager spoke to me in a harsh intimidating manner.
I have been travelling since I was 10 years old, that means for 37 years now, and only one other time in all these years, have I ever encountered a hotel service professional that demonstrated similar disrespect and disdain for the customer.
The other front desk reception personnel very good ones. But unfortunately since he is the hotel's manager, I have no choice but to give this review the lowest possible rating, as his representation was the worst I ever encountered in all my travels.
In in fact tried to give the management of this establishment another another chance at a later time. I booked myself for a room to see management will do better. Unfortunately I found the manager once again unable to listen, intractable, and incredibly unpleasant to deal with.
Stay away from this hotel and be warned about present management. Once present management is replaced with more professional, respectful management, then the hotel could have tremendous promise because of its excellent location.
