After our meal, this is my favorite restaurant in the South Bay.
The menu offers specialties from the Veneto region, which are not easy to find outside Italy. This is not the more common southern Italian fare you'll find elsewhere, rather a lesser known and more refined regional Italian cuisine.
We started with an excellent fish-based antipasto, which included sarde in saor and baccalà mantecato. The first is a sweet/sour sardine, while the latter is whipped baccala fish.
My wife had a bollito misto - various boiled meats, which included beef, duck and even cotechino. They had a very delicate taste and was absolutely divine. The home-made gnocchi that I had melted in my mouth. The duck sauce they were accompanied with is not tomato-based, but excellent nonetheless.
The prosecco and refosco wines we had were very good, and the wine list was great overall.
There is not enough praise I can give this restaurant. The owner Angelo and his wife Anna were very friendly and I can only say they'll be seeing us much more frequently!
