We stayed at this hotel for one night to break up a drive we made from CA to OR and were very pleased with the stay. The room was $84/night with the AAA discount and included a continental breakfast and wireless internet access at no additional cost. When we made the reservation via the internet I requested a crib and the staff had already set it up in our room before we had even checked in. The room was good sized, very clean, and included a comfortable chair and a small table with two chairs. There was a coffeemaker and hair dryer in the room. The bathroom was very clean and both shampoo and conditioner were provided (I know that may not seem like much, but most women need conditioner and most hotels only provide shampoo). The continental breakfast was very extensive and included pastries, various muffins/bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, and juices. There is a small swimming pool which we didn't use but it looked clean. The hotel has very easy access right off of I-5 and is surprisingly quiet given that location. We probably won't have much occasion to stay here in the future but we would if we happen to find ourselves in this area again!

Nice hotel right off of I-5. Great jump off point for exploring Redding/Sacramento River or Shasta recreation areas. We stayed overnight as part of our west coast "road trip". Very good complimentary continental breakfast. Only complaint: side entrances could not be used for entry since they would not open with the room keys provided (obviously a continuing problem since many "make-shift" door jaming devices were on the ground near each door!)
We booked through Travelocity; standard room / 2 queen beds / non smoking / 4 adults (me and my wife w/our two older girls); $95.05+.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on the west side of I-5 on Twin View blvd. the 3rd week of June 2004. Very clean, business class hotel, nice lobby, and most impressive were the staff at the hotel desk. Funny and friendly, both of the young ladies were helping the kids of another customer and treated us like we were family. If I ever stay in Redding, I'll likely choose this place. Not a congested area, can see the hotel from I-5, and just a nice overnight stop.
