“Alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

My kids and I had a good time. For the price of everything we could have went to six flags it seems like for two slices of pizza and two sodas it was 17 dollars. They did not have alot of slides that the kids could go on but they had fun on the ones they could.

It's been some time since you left this review, but we wanted to thank you for letting us know how we're doing, Nicole. It's good to know your kids had fun on our rides, though we're sorry to hear you felt our prices were a little high. Rest assured, we're constantly reviewing our rates to ensure they remain fair and competitive, and certainly appreciate your feedback in this regard. All told, we can do a lot better than just "alright," and would love the chance to welcome you guys back before too long. We have several exciting new rides in the pipeline, so be sure to check them out for yourselves!

All the best,
The WaterWorks Park Family

“Great way to stay cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Waterworks Park is a great place to get cool in Redding's hot, hot summers. It has rides and swimming attractions for small children and more agressive rides for the older ones. They stay open until 10 PM which is great if you want to miss the heat of the day. Food is avialable. Family friendly.

“an alternative to the heat and better than the mall”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Well, being from the fog sucker from the coast, Redding can be an extreme, heat wise. So we were looking forward to an afternoon playing in the water. To my surprise, this park closes during certain afternoon hours, so we had to wait until 7p.m. to get in. Right off the bat, your hit with entrance fee,if your an adult simply wanting to supervise your children. So expect to pay the same price if you are enjoying the water sports or just watching, hint, bring your suits mom and dad. The overall price is a bit steep for what you get. My kids enjoyed the slides, but even at 7 p.m. the lines were long. so plan ahead have a few hours to kill, otherwise your little ones will have limited time on the rides.

“Water play fun”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We went to Water Works park for an afternoon of fun and to escape all the smoke in the Rogue Valley.

Admission does not include tube rental, and good luck getting one if you get there after Noon. We tried renting a tube only to find out that they were all rented, and to our dismay sitting unused under canopies and by people's chairs. There are a few single person free tubes you can wait for at the end of each ride, but they were few and far between. A couple of the slides require no tube so we tried to enjoy those while waiting for people to start leaving. Obviously the $2 deposit is not incentive enough for people to return the tube when they are finished, because as the park empties the piles of unclaimed tubes doubled in size.

all in all the park appeared well cared for and clean. I'd be willing to pay an extra $5-10 per person to not have to bother with renting/trying to find a raft.....it really started our day off on a sour note when the kids expect to bust through the gate and dive right in.

“Great for kids to stay cool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Took our nieces and nephews here while visiting. It was perfect for them to burn off some energy. The flumes are a blast. Raging River is a little hard on a bad back kinda bumpy... You must Slay the the Dragon and take a spin in the big "toilet" Bowl :)
