Shame on the Moon is a classic “old guard” restaurant. Still in business (and busy) after 30 years. Most of the patrons we saw were in their late 60’s-80’s. I suspect that many of them have been regulars of the restaurant for many years. Other reviewers mentioned the noise level, and it can be quite loud in there and it was hard to carry on a conversation with the person next to me at times.
As for our dinners, the prices are reasonable. I had the Seared Ahi Steak with wasabi potatoes; which was very good; some of the other entrees that our party had was Pasta Primavera and the Salmon dinner. A few of the problems with our food was that the pasta dinner was supposed to come with chicken (and they left it out), my wife had inquired about what was the seasonal vegetables that came with her dinner and she was told her dinner came with pepper and celery, (I have never heard of pepper and celery as being “in-season vegetables”).
I think the most disappointing aspect of our experience was our waiter. He seemed distracted, rushed, confused about some of the menu items, and some of our dinners were incomplete (as mentioned above), service was certainly the worst aspect of our dinner.
With so many other restaurant options available I really cannot recommend going there.
