Roy’s is feast for the senses upon walking through the door. I’ve never been to Hawaii but I truly believed that I was entering an exotic Hawaiian location as I entered the restaurant. The staff were gracious and welcoming and my party immediately felt comfortable, at ease, ready for a unique dining experience as we walked into the exotic and beautiful dining room. We anticipated a fine meal. We would not be disappointed. We had attended on my birthday. I was very surprised to find a custom printed birthday greeting in my menu. I loved it almost as much as I loved the food that we ordered. We started with a few different appetizer plates including their appetizer canoe: each item was wonderfully delicious. If you love fish, you’ll love Roy’s. If you don’t love fish, you’ll love the fish at Roy’s. You have to try the fish, trust me. I’m learning to be a fish eater. On this visit I decided to try a variety of fish and I was not only NOT disappointed, I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful fish can be when it is prepared as wonderfully as it is by the chefs at Roy’s. One word came to mind: delicious. Actually, two words are better: absolutely delicious. I would recommend Roy’s fish Trio: Three different fish in three different unique sauces, three times good! Two of the members of our party didn’t care for fish and opted for steak. They were as pleased with their steaks as the rest of us who had ordered the fish entrees. We ordered desert and that really topped the excellent meal off. Although this restaurant is a little more on the pricey side it is well worth the cost especially when celebrating special events like my birthday. I highly recommend Roy’s and I’m looking forward to returning for another wonderful meal again soon.
