searching for a hotel room for mar.-mon.& tues was not a big concern. after researching many hotels,this suited us perfectly. the staff were so friendly &accomadating to our every needs, forgotten razor- extra blanket,etc,.within mins. they were there. fresh baked cookies each evening. complimentary breakfast was far better than any 4-star resort i have stayed at.super clean/ ask for room w/patio. super clean,beautiful grounds,well lit free parking, no resort charges. cannot remark about pool as we did not use it. the ONLY thing i suggest is-bring your own good toilet tissue! regarding past remarks--- this review is current. i will surely book my room for next march. P.S. we paid more than twice the price than adv. int. price & we are satisfied!

I booked a room (suite) for my wife and myself as SCE was scheduled to have electricity off in our area for repairs and the local temp was in the hundreds. I made the reservation on 7-16 at 8:15 pm and tried to cxl the following morning as SCE rescheduled the repair work for later when the temperature was not so hot. When I called to cancel I was informed that I could not and I would be charged for the room. I am an elderly senior on a fixed income and my wife is terminally ill. Both the desk manager and the general manager, Mr. Engineer were rude and unprofessional when I tried to deal with them. They gave me three different stories as to why they would not refund my money and they lied regarding the reasons I was being charged. Buyer beware, these people were dishonest with me and impossible to reason with. I am filing complaints with the Office on Aging, Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau and contacting the local news media as well as disputing the charges with my bank.

The only thing good about this hotel is the fact that it is close to "Restaurant Row" in Rancho Mirage. Otherwise, it is not a "suite" experience at all. In fact, there is not even a door to the adjoining room! The exercise machines were not working (OK, 1 of the 4 was -- the treadmill, but it was old). The pool towels were small -- the type I use for rags at home. The refrigerator buzzed all night. The staff was not very helpful -- they are overworked. The "bed" -- if you can call it that consisted of no foam and only springs in the sleeper couch. The pool was the same size as you'd have in your own backyard if you had a pool at home. Not a hotel pool. The room were were in had no coffee table, and when I asked for one, I was made to feel that I was putting out the staff, and making an extraordinary request. Oneo fo the 2 ice machines was broken. The "waffle" breakfast consisted of frozen waffles and pancakes and pre-packaged bagels and danish (nothing fresh). No ambiance at all. I would not stay here again. Stay here only if you like the location, which, I must say, IS fabulous for Rancho Mirage. That was its only saving grace for us.

Its not horrible. The staff was actually very helpful and friendly. The rooms were decent size and clean. After all, this is not a 5 star. We had a problem with noise. Sounded like a car was blasting bass outside and we couldnt sleep. After calling the front desk, we were told that he would be up after checking people in. Only one person working!!?? We were given a room with 2 queen beds. We moved to the other bed and the noise was gone. I found out later that is was actually the noise of the ice machine or vending machine downstairs... Nice location, right next to the really nice mall The River. And Applebees (although the hotel inhouse book didnt have the number listed) is basically connected. So its a basic, clean room, with decent staff.
