“Clean and basic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Attended a wedding last weekend outside of Ramona, CA in the equistrian estates and needed a room for one night's stay nearby. With AAA dscounts and reviews that said the motel was clean I booked it and did not regret my choice. The room is basic, with the sink inside the bedroom, but the shower had good flow and the towels were soft enough. Plastic cups with the ice bucket and a very small flat screen tv. But it even had a refrigerator and the air conditioning was great, especially in 105 degree heat. The Sizzler Restauant is right next door andj we went for breakfast at a local place that had excellent food just down the main street a few blocks away. For the price, it can't be beat just as long as you are not expecting a luxurious setting. (It has a small pool).

The only hotel in the town AND walking distance to the concert we attended on Saturday. The staff was very friendly & as I said the rooms were amazingly clean. Make sure to bring your own soap, shampoo, hair dryer & anything else you'd need for your shower. The white towels look like new!

Overall an inexpensive room that is quiet, clean & friendly staff. Id recommend this to all my family or friends passing threw Ramona.

Great value, remindful of the 1960's motel - pool, A/C, color TV, don't come here looking for spa services (bring your own shampoo, although the off-the-wall soap is surprisingly good). The only thing missing from the 20th century nostalgia trip is that this hotel focuses on clean. No ancient, lumpy mattresses, didn't need sandals to walk across the carpet and the linens - even bed spreads - were pristine. No coffee in room, but a short stroll to the office gives you a great cup of coffee or tea. While in Ramona, the Guy B Woodward Museum is a must see - fascinating to hear about life in old west. NOTE if you don't wish to be woke up to the cock-a-doodle-do of a rooster, make sure the window above the tub is closed before you go to bed.

Loved this hotel! It was basic (I had been warned ahead of time), but there is nothing wrong with basic. It was very clean, smelled great, helpful and friendly staff as well. I felt really safe there. VERY comfortable beds and pillows (slept great!). The cleaning staff did a great job, too. There were no phones in the room, but I find that most people don't use them anyway, so I was ok with that. Pool was great, too. Definitely would recommend this place.

Visiting Ramona and want a clean place to stay complete with very nice front-desk folks? Plus a sparkling little pool...then this is the way to go. Spartan decor, but beds were pretty comfortable, pillows were good, heat worked quickly and the room had a nice mini-fridge. I mean, the prices are LOW. That said, we had the best room in the place, a two-bedroom suite. And still I don't think there was a phone (no big deal these days), bottle of shampoo, soap or lotion visible. A wall-mounted dispenser of anti-bacterial soap in the shower passed for cleanser. And the tv in the second room had no remote. Towels were fine and beds showed no signs of bedbugs (I always check no matter the location). We enjoyed our stay as we just needed a place to crash and were not around much. If you are looking for the same, you'll do fine...just bring your own Crabtree & Evelyn or whatever amenties you fancy.

Room Tip: Small barking dog outside rear of property, quieted around 11pm two nights in a row. Otherwise fairl...

We had several rooms in this motel and everyone was different. There were no phones in the rooms so you had to go to the office any time you needed anything. Several of the rooms had no hand soap, our rooms was full of flies when we got there. We were poolside, but with all the plants we could not see the pool and it felt like we were in a dark place because of the plants. When I tried to sign on to my computer, their advertised WiFi did not work. The girl in the office seemed unconcerned and said that the rooms by the pool seem to always have a problem, but I could bring my computer to the lobby and try to sign on there. Seemed like it was just one thing after another. My husband travels for work so we are in hotels a lot and this one was a serious disappointment. Next time I will drive a few miles to get something a little better and someplace that at least provides the service they advertise

Room Tip: Stay in one of the timeshare places in the area or drive up from Escondido

This Inn is very clean, The room was well appointed with air conditioning, refridgerater, lots of TV channels and a comfortable bed. The Inn was equally impressive outside with a sparkling pool (they had cold drinks and large towels available in the office) and surprisingly pretty vegetation around the grounds. Great office staff and good location....I'll be back for sure.
