Expect nothing fancy, but do expect to receive some pretty good barbecue. Dickey's is a franchise operation with pretty strict company procedures, menus and recipes. Dickey's smokes for less time than I do and at a slightly higher temp than I do at home. But, it seems to work out just fine. Besides, they do have a schedule to follow. The ribs, brisket, chicken and even sausage are ample in portion size and have a good smoke flavor, with a great smoke ring, demonstrating that the meat was smoked over a hardwood fire. You can add your own sauce and chili peppers if you choose. And, of course, if you add too much heat, there's a bar where you can pick up beer or soda to cool yourself off. It can sometimes be a little crowded at lunchtime, and you have to stand in line to order your lunch, But, the line moves along quickly. It's worth the wait in line. Now I need to find a Dickey's in another town to compare to this one.
