“Quaint Cottage perfect for our family!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Our family of five was so pleased to find a such a cute place that could accommodate us in Point Reyes for such a last minute weekend. Mila was kind enough to wait for our arrival (9:30 pm) and welcome us.
The Sunset Cottage was lovely. It slept two kids, two adults, and the baby quite comfortably. It has a nice size stocked kitchen with some special goodies in the fridge courtesy of Mila (cookies, cheese and crackers, sparking apple juice, cream, coffee beans). It really gave the feel of being alone in a faraway cottage in a garden...that is until about 10:30 pm when whoever was playing music in the hot tub area brought it closer to home (there must have been an outdoor patio for another room on the kitchen side of our cottage because we could hear the music and lively conversation until well after midnight- not Mila's fault because she does not live on property, but still knocked it down a 1/2 star for us). Luckily our kids were asleep and they did not wake up.
Overall, nice stay in a cute clean cottage that can work for a family of 4-5. Was mildly disappointed that Mila was not offering breakfast service that weekend.... who doesn't love a good Bed&BREAKFAST? I did find out while booking the room though, so I can't complain too much. :) The hot tub was a nice treat on Saturday at the end of a day full of hiking/sightseeing.
Thanks for the great stay, Mila!

My husband and I spent two nights at One Mesa earlier this month to celebrate my birthday. It was the perfect combination of privacy and accessibility to Point Reyes Station. Although we didn't see Mila, she arranged for our every need. The beds, topped with feather beds, were super-comfortable. There was plenty of room in our room (Sunrise) to relax and read. We loved having a microwave and small refrigerator, too. I can envision a family or other large party renting all the rooms here, enabling people to be together yet affording maximum privacy.

Thank you all our wonderful guests for your amazing gratitude and appreciative remarks about how One Mesa made your visit to Point Reyes EXTRA special. One Mesa has recently undergone a revamping which includes the dropping of Bed and Breakfast from our name. We continue to offer rooms with casually elegant decor that have king or queen beds with feather bed toppers in a demi-suite arrangement, separate entrances, beamed ceilings, TVs/DVRs, free WiFi, refrigerators and microwaves, some with gas log stoves and views, and above all privacy. We have made the decision to no longer offer breakfast service delivered to the door or stocked in the individual rooms at One Mesa. This decision has been arrived at over time as we have transitioned over the past year in attempting to meet the changing demands and wishes of our guests, while balancing the real economics of today’s environment.. Over the past couple of years it has become apparent that when given the choice of picking between reduced room rates and breakfast service, our guests opted overwhelmingly (over 80%) for lesser rates rather than breakfast service. The waning desire for breakfast was further impacted by our Northern California trend to more food awareness and distinct food needs that are a challenge to address effectively and economically in a small scale operation. While we are aware that people did love our breakfast, we were forced to weigh the demand with the economics and came to the conclusion that we could best serve our guests by no longer offering the breakfast option. We are aware that there are those guests that will want breakfast and would prefer to stay at a property that will meet that need. I am hopeful that those folks, however, who have experienced the comforts of One Mesa will decide that the value to service will bring them back again and again. Just as so many of our happy guests have continued to return.

After 30+ years of tent camping together we decided to take our camping group to a different level. One Mesa worked perfectly for us. Mila treated us with a fruit and cheese tray and a bottle of wine. We were at first a little overwhelmed by the number of do's and don'ts in the instruction binder, but actually found them to be very detailed and very helpful.
The rooms were attractive, clean and very comfortable.
The layout provided privacy but also places to gather around the "campfire" and solve the world's problems.
We are looking forward to starting a new 30+ tradition at One Mesa.

My stay at One Mesa was borderline perfect. I only say borderline because it had to end.

We arrived and were welcomed with many comforts of home, but more than my home has to offer! Fresh fruit was in our room with some cheese and crackers, waiting to be eaten on the porch of our Moonlight room. The bathtub was amazing, the bed was comfy, the fireplace warm, the over all stay - amazing.

Walking distance from Point Reyes Station, quick drive to amazing hiking....Stay at One Mesa!

One Mesa was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, comfortable cottage in a beautiful, serene setting. What more can one ask for! A short distance to the town of Point Reyes Station, our cottage had everything we needed - full kitchen, great bathroom and shower, and a comfortable bed. Mila was very cordial and helpful when needed, providing great suggestions for restaurants, food shopping and hiking. (The hikes in the Point Reyes area are exceptional.) I can only say wonderful things about our stay at One Mesa and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

One Mesa Inn was tucked away (but easy to find) and so relaxing. The gardens made you feel like you were walking into a Secret Hideaway every time you were going to your room. Very quiet and cozy. I was in a room with a claw foot tub, and a gas log stove, and a big fluffy feather bed, which was so wonderful! The room was well appointed with small refridgerator, coffee maker, tea pot, and utensils. This isn't a B&B so no breakfast or anything is served, but in town there are many good food options and several small grocery stores.

The owner (Mila) was super nice, and make check in/check out a breeze.

If you are a couple or a solor traveler, and in the mood for a relaxing, quiet getaway, this is your place!

I booked our stay based on tripadvisor ratings and wasn't disappointed. Our nice room had a fantastic bed and a great view of the foothills. One Mesa is hard to beat. Point Reyes Station has a wonderful downtown area and a well stocked local market. The location is close to Point Reyes National Seashore for easy sightseeing trips.
