Everyone is right - the Pumpkin Borani is fabulous! Two of us had kabobs, and they were good. I think we all agreed that the Koobideh Kabob was our favorite. My husband had the salmon and said it was good but not excellent.
Service was a little weird to begin with. We had about a 20-minute wait in the bar area. The hostess came in to get us and didn't even come over to our table; instead beckoned from two tables away. By the time we got up and got to where she had been standing she was long gone. She had gone into the main part of the restaurant, and I couldn't tell where and wondered if we were supposed to have followed her or check in again at the host station. So we stopped at the host station to say that we thought our table was ready, but we don't know where to go. As we were standing there, and the host graciously was going to seat us, we saw the hostess in a completely different room waving the menus at us, as if to say, "here I am, come on down". What is up with that?? Someone needs to tell her that is not the way to seat patrons. (It's not as if she's a teenager at her first job; she's a middle-aged woman.)
I had been here once before and had a teenage hostess, and she was very professional and proper. She could give this woman lessons!
Our waiter wasn't the most attentive; he seemed a little distracted. They aren't good about clearing dishes off the table when you're done. Our appetizer dish sat there through half our dinner, despite that it was empty. And there were wine glasses on the table when we sat down. We did not order wine, so they should've been taken away. They were instead moved to the edge of the table, all in a line. And they were there the entire meal. Go figure.
