“Affordable and clean. Nice location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

My Mom and I were on our way to a wedding and decided to stay at this place last minute, while looking up options via Maps. The price was middle of the road and the online pics looked nice for what we needed. I called to make sure there was vacancy, and spoke with Jim. He confirmed, we were one exit away and said we would be right there. We arrived and got our room at the rate listed, after an AARP discount and choosing a single king room, which totaled 80./plus tax. There is nothing special about the room, however, I have stayed in A LOT of hotels, and this place was clean and the room was nice. NO structural/construction issues no mold, no missing paint, no stained carpet etc. Clean sheets. adequate towels, toiletries, extra pillow and hangers. Cable was okay, receptions was not that good and not a lot of channels to choose from. Never received a code for internet, (and didn't ask for one) so can't comment on that. Our room was 108, at the very end of the bottom right hand side. One feature I did like was the creek behind the hotel. While not accessible, nice to look at. There was also a grassy area, and a picnic table as well as a stored BBQ, that looked like it was available for use by the guests. The continental breakfast consisted of Svenhardts Pastries, coffee and juice (looked like it was from concentrate and in a tupperware container). My Mom and I want to relax a bit the next day so I called the front desk to ask for a late check out, which Jim allowed us an extra 30 minutes (11:30a). They were knocking on our door at 11:29. They weren't busy, and we felt they could have been more giving with the late check out time. All in all we would stay there again based on this experience.

Never had the chance to stay here. We had a Saturday night reservation with plans to spend Sunday at Apple Hill with our 5 and 2 year old daughters. However, our older child started vomiting at 5 am on the day we were to travel and this continued into the afternoon (throwing up every 20-30 minutes for 8-10 hours). We called to explain our situation and see if we could reschedule our reservation for another weekend. My wife was very polite, and Tony (manager) was extremely rude. Because we hadn't given enough notice (guess we should've anticipated the illness), we were charged for our stay. Although I can understand and tolerate this to some degree, rudeness is intolerable. On the plus side, we thankfully won't have to have any more in depth interactions with the hotel manager who clearly hasn't learned how to treat prospective customers respectfully.

This place is old and not well maintained. They are passing off double beds as queens, most uncomfortable for two tall people. Not very clean. We decided we didn't want to stay but they wouldn't give us our money back.

So I hear they have new housekeepers. they were really nice to me, I stayed here the other day and rented out a one bed bedroom. It was really neat and clean. I have stayed here a couple of times first time wasn't so good but this time was. Front desk was actually nice to me two thumbs up on that one. Though there breakfast could be better having more options of food and drink choices to choose from. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. I will remember the nice housekeepers they have though when I needed something from the cart like a cup or a trash bag she was really nice to me even though she was busy she stopped and helped me get what I needed. Great job housekeeping. Glad to see new faces working hard. Overall I had a better experience this time than last time. It seems to me the owner is caring alot more which I am happy to see. Thankyou for making this stay a positive one for me.

Room Tip: If you have been here before and it wasnt a good experience dont give up. I saw new housekeepers and...
