From the moment we stepped through the door, our experience at the Albert Shafsky House was top notch! Rita and Stephanie were extremely welcoming and gracious and the property is beautiful. We were shown to our very spacious room (Alberta's Attic), which was clean and comfortable, and were offered some tasty local wine. The El Dorado County and Amador County areas are a burgeoning wine region, and guests of the Albert Shafsky House are also offered a free flight of wines at Synapse Wines' tasting room which is just a short walk away on Main Street. We were in the area to go river rafting and the location at the Albert Shafsky House was perfect as it was a quick ride north on Hwy 49 to the rafting company we chose. We woke up to a spectacular breakfast and Rita was able to adapt the meals to accomodate some challenging dietary issues we're dealing with. The presentation was phenomenal and the taste was delectable! After our rafting trip, we returned home (these lovely ladies make you feel at home) and enjoyed more complimentary wine in one of the pleasant outdoor seating areas on the property. The breakfast on day two was just as yummy. Overall, a fantastic experience!
