We have been pleased with other Oxford Suites properties so decided to try this one for a long family weekend. The other properties have been multiple story, semi-hotel configurations. This is a 2 story enclosing a lovely patio, courtyard, pool area with a number of nice amenities - a bit more relaxed and family oriented. The main pool and kid’s pool were at a perfect temperature for recreational splashing or swimming. The spa was just right for relaxing. The rooms were just a bit larger than average, well decorated and well-appointed with refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, etc. etc. With a sliding door between the "living room" and bedroom areas, each with a TV, some guests can chat while others can snooze undisturbed. While the property fronts on the highway, our backside room was quiet. The staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful and all their recommendations for dining and other activities were excellent. They serve a better than average breakfast. The evening free cocktail hour is a nice touch, including some very limited snacks like salad and chips & salsa. A step up from the average mid-range motel in every respect with the patio/pool area a standout.
