Booked this trip at the last minute. We are AAA members, but found a better rate by calling the reservation desk directly. Living in Silicon Valley, we were astounded by the good rates for an oceanside property and thought this place was a steal! We were there from Wednesday through Friday and stayed in Room 215, with a little patio facing the pool. Property is only 2+ years old, so everything is new and nice. Located on other side of Hwy 101, but easy access to the pier. No ocean view, but still a great view of the area and the lovely foothills dotted with homes. Room was very spacious. Wi-Fi was very weak, so ended up having to purchase an ethernet cable from the front desk for a better connection - problem solved. Nice bar - getting a free drink each evening was a great way to start off the evening. A pleasant surprise was the free appetizers of chips/salsa and meatballs and ciabatta bread. We were not able to take advantage of free breakfast. Hotel staff was excellent, always very friendly and accommodating - Kollene and Cheryl were the best. We will definitely be staying again.

Clean and new hotel that was very comfortable. Wireless internet was free and relatively fast. Bedding was comfortable with good pillows and firm mattress. Has flat screen TV but not HD. Price was very competitive for the area. Breakfast was typical hot hotel buffet with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, fresh fruit and juice/milk/coffee. Would stay there again.

They let me check in early....clean, Nice decor that looks new. Evening drink reception, full breakfast that was better than average, corned beef hash, eggs Benedict, scrambled, bacon sausage, muffins, scones, cereal etc.. lots of hot fresh coffee, nice eating area. My room had a comfy king bed with a nice sofa couch, cable TV, free internet , huge bathroom with marble counters, newspaper under your door in the morning... this place is nice., fresh and new looking with free parking.. A few blocks from the beach and on a clear day you can see the ocean from the property. Nice pool and exercise room. Every single staff person I encountered were very cheerful, helpful with directions, maps , info on the area- whatever you needed they acted like it was a joy to help you. Even the cleaning and maintenance people were cheerful!.. it acts like a much more expensive hotel than it is.. I would go there again..

I made my selection to stay at Mission Inn at Pismo Beach based on some of the other reviews that I had from the web. One of the main reasons for finalizing on the hotel was because it was relatively newly built. While the premises is pretty clean and newly built with fairly good amenities, the service out there was horrible. The check in time I was given was 3 PM. I happened to travel a little earlier than the check in time and requested them to accommodate us in the hotel. But, they plainly denied saying that 3 PM is their check in time and they were full the earlier night so they don't have the room ready. Now, this was the answer at around 12.30 PM in the afternoon.
So, I went out to do some sight seeing and check out the downtown. Came back at 3 PM hoping to get the room then. But, even at 3 PM they did not had the room cleaned up. I ended up waiting for 45 more minutes at the hotel in their Atrium. Finally, when I reached out to them again to inquire they said yes we can now accommodate you. They didn't even had the courtesy to offer any discount on my stay then or stay at later date.
Later, when we checked in finally the toilet flush got jammed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pismo Beach. There are lot more and better options out there to select from.
