Needed a stopover on our trip from Monterey to Ventura.
Mission Inn turned out to be clean, smelled OK, had easy access to the room, large rooms, great breakfast and very easy access to 101.

We had nothing to complain about.

We stayed here with our 6mo old son for a night on our way to Santa Barbara and LOVED it. We were there during graduation/ Father's Day weekend and despite the fact it was completely booked, we found parking easily, never heard any noise above, below or beside our room and the breakfast was plentiful.
Clean, comfortable beds and spacious room. They even had a recycling bin in the room! Free wifi in the room (we think, probably should check) and instead of a 'Privacy Please' hanger for your door knob they had a button you pressed inside the room that put on a small red light outside near the door knob. Every aspect of this hotel was excellent.

My husband and I stayed at the Mission in May 30th-June 1st 2008, and had a wonderful time! We were in Pismo for a friend's wedding, but it was also a romantic getaway for the two of us to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30 and figured that the room was not yet ready but we would check anyway. The room wasn't ready but we were able to check-in that way when we came back we could go straight to our room. We went to town, had some lunch, played on the beach and when we came back around 3pm we walked straight to our room.
We had the first room off of the lobby, which is a standard room with a king size bed. To surprise me, my husband called the hotel and told them it was our anniversary, so waiting in our room was a bottle of wine and two glasses, complimentary from the hotel! It was very sweet. The room was clean and spacious, I LOVED that the window almost took up the entire wall! I also loved that there was a sink by the toilet and the shower and another one outside of the bathroom, it definitely made getting ready easier.
The breakfast in the morning was great, there was plenty to choose from and it was all very tasty! We were not able to get to the beer and wine reception until the second evening. We stopped by on our way to the pool and my husband got a beer and I recieved a generous glass of a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc. The pool was heated which was nice, but as the evening started to cool off we went to the hot tub which was very nice!
There was absolutely nothing that went wrong with our stay, we would definitely stay here again and have already recommended the hotel to others!

We stayed at this hotel over Mother's Day weekend. The check-in process was fast and easy and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable. We paid a little extra for a panoramic view room, however, we were disappointed that the view overlooked the pool with the ocean far in the distance.

The hotel provided a manager's reception of beer/wine/soda and a hot breakfast. The hot breakfast wasn't very good, but there were several options to choose from.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn't upgrade to the panoramic view next time.
