So, thought I would try it out while in the area. "Early-bird" special - $20 for an 8-oz..sirloin.
Outback's 7 oz.. sirlion is about $14 Taken back a bit by the "overkill" of mounted animals on the walls. Trying to hard to create an atmosphere. A bit much. So, the
onion rings came - pretty good but not the best around. Then, the spinach salad - very
small and wilted - not fresh looking. Then, the waterboy dropped by and thought it was funny to atempt to fill my water glass from overhead - hoping not to miss but splashing
water on the onion rings and the table. I told him not to do that -- he just laughed and sort of apologized. I then realized that this was a dog and pony show and didn't want to
wait around for the second act, "the steak." Had a bad feeling after the water trick. So, didn't feel badly at all about walking out - which I did and so glad I didn't have pay $25 for
this crappy food. It's a total ripoff and joke. The restaurant is dated and wreaks of the 70s but the prices are outrageous even for the 2010s. Outback is much better deal with quality meat and at least include the baked patatoes w/o an extra charge. Cheap scapes these folks are - skip it and save your $$.
